All of these individuals gave their hearty remarks and congratulations, noting the
importance of sports to quality health and the selfless commitment the KB KLUB has
constantly shown to development and progress. The first basket on the Triple Threat
Hoops donated by Webber was designed to be ceremonial. Trials made by Prof. Lesi,

THE KLUB'S HEARTFELT CELEBRATION:

BRINGING LOVE TO IDI-ARABA CHILDREN'S
CORRECTIONAL CENTRE
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity
cannot survive." - Dalai Lama
On February 14th, love filled the air as the world celebrated Valentine's Day, and here at
the KB Klub, we embraced this spirit of love in a truly meaningful way. Each year, we
dedicate ourselves to spreading love and kindness within our community, and this year
was no exception.

We had the privilege of visiting the Correctional Centre Children's Home in Idi-Araba,
Lagos, where we extended our arms of philanthropy to brighten their day and bring
smiles to their faces. Our mission was clear: to interact with these wonderful children
and to share our love through meaningful engagement and the distribution of
gift items.

As we arrived at the center, our hearts

swelled with anticipation and excitement.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff
and children, who greeted us with
infectious enthusiasm and radiant smiles.
It was a humbling experience to witness
the resilience and joy of these incredible
young souls, despite the challenges they
face.

Throughout the day, we engaged in

various activities with the children,

including games, storytelling sessions, and creative arts and crafts. The laughter
and camaraderie that filled the air were truly heartwarming, reminding us of the
simple joys of life and the power of human connection.

In addition to our time spent together, we also gifted the children’s home
foodstuffs and essential hygiene products. The excitement and gratitude
expressed by the children were palpable, and it was immensely rewarding to
know that we were able to make a positive difference in their lives, even if just for
a day.
As the day drew to a close, we said our farewells with mixed emotions—grateful
for the opportunity to have shared such a memorable day with the children, yet
saddened to leave their company.

But we departed with hearts full of love and gratitude, knowing that we had
made a meaningful impact on the lives of these remarkable children.

The experience at the Correctional Centre Children's Home was a powerful

reminder of the importance of compassion, empathy, and generosity. It
reinforced our commitment to serving our community and spreading love
wherever we go.

providing support to those in need.

The event, held on Sunday, February 11th, was a resounding success, packed with
insightful sessions aimed at breaking down stigmas and fostering healthy
conversations around mental health. Dr. Olotu delivered a captivating presentation on
the Effect of Substance Misuse on Academic Performance and Mental Health, shedding
light on a critical issue affecting many young people today.

Throughout the day, attendees were treated to a wealth of knowledge and practical
advice on how to cultivate positive mental and academic habits. From interactive
workshops to thought-provoking discussions, the event provided a platform for open

INAUGURATING THE KASH INITIATIVE

KB KLUB's Legacy Project “Kick Against Sexual Harassment”
Sexual harassment is any unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature that makes
someone feel uncomfortable, offended, or humiliated. It can happen anywhere, from
the workplace or school to online or on the street. Sexual harassment can be verbal,
nonverbal, physical, or visual, and it can range from seemingly harmless comments to
threats or sexual assault.

The key point is that the action is unwanted. Even if someone doesn't intend to cause
offense, if their actions make another person feel unsafe or uncomfortable, it is
considered sexual harassment. It's important to remember that sexual harassment can
have a lasting negative impact on the target, so it should never be tolerated.

Some of the effects of sexual harassment include:

Emotional and Psychological harm: Sexual harassment can cause victims to

experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and difficulty concentrating. It can
also lead to feelings of isolation, shame, and fear.
Disrupted Education: Students who are sexually harassed may skip classes, avoid
certain areas of the school, or lose interest in their studies altogether. This can
negatively impact their academic performance.
Reduced sense of safety: A school environment where sexual harassment is
tolerated can make students feel unsafe and unwelcome. This can hinder their
ability to learn and participate fully in school life.

As a klub of true gentlemen, KB Klub kicks against all forms of sexual harassment and
assault. In light of this, we started a project named Kick Against Sexual Harassment
(KASH). This project comprises an extensive online awareness campaign against sexual
harassment, along with a symposium. The online awareness campaign has already
started. Check out our social media pages and spread the word with us!
