I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students can:
a.Identify the three functions of communication
b.Deliver the speech according to it’s purpose
c. Value the significance of having a sources of speeches
II. SUBJECT MATTER
a.Topic:The functions of communication
b.Materials: Informative Text,marker, speaker, video clip
c. Reference: Oral Communication Context SHS,Page 64-69
III. PROCEDURE
A.Motivation
The class will be group in 3 groups
The Teacher will play a video clip at the class
Students will take notes
B. Activity
With same group students will analyze and brainstorm on video clip
Students will present details and initial speech on video clip
They need to determine parts of speech on clip
Students may use graphic Organizer In presenting Their final Output
The students will be given 10 min to do the tasks and group presentation will
follow
C. ANALYSIS
The teacher will ask the students
1.what have you observe on the video
2 what is the purpose of the speech in the video
D. ABSTRACTION
The teacher will introduce the topic today
The teacher will let the students read the objectives
The teacher will discuss the topic three functios of communication
The teacher will cite an examples of each functiona of communication
E. APPLICATION
With the same group students will play the game “ACTquaire”
The students Will identify the purpose of given speech excerpts
The Students will be given 20 min
Each group will assign reporter to discuss the output
After this each group will present their report
F. GENERALIZATION
The teacher will ask the questions to the students
1 Why is it important to know different functions of speech
2. Why do we need to give importance to the source of the speech
IV. EVALUATION
The teacher will conduct short quiz
The calss will be given 10 min to answer, after it proceed to checking
V. ASSIGNMENT
The teacher wilet the students read the first OWAD, and read the directions
Direction : Create a speech About 2022 NATIONAL ELECTION and determine your
purpose for. Creating it. Organize it by using outline
