UNDERGRADUATES (REU)
This 10 week, full-time program is for rising
May 29th-August 1st, 2024
$6000 Stipend juniors and seniors (and community
Housing Provided college students) interested in STEM and
Travel Allowance societal impact who are seeking research
Application deadline: February 5th, 2024

During the program you will:

Join a group of 10 students working on interrelated projects in air
quality, air pollution and related topics.

Participate in cutting-edge, mentored research in a faculty member's

laboratory.
Hone research skills and learn how they make a
difference in complex situations.

We would especially like to give
opportunities to students who may
not have considered research as a
career, but who are curious and
motivated to improve people’s
lives and surroundings.
Air pollutants affect human health, the environment, and the
climate. A disproportionate fraction of adverse impacts from
these pollutants is felt in communities with lower access to
resources. Understanding these health and climate impacts and
cleaning up the atmosphere takes many different skills.

In this program, participants might develop measurement

techniques, analyze measured data, contribute to computer
models, or develop educational materials.
