Jordao: Well guys, in this opportunitty, I’m going to talk about one festival that it is very recognized
in all parts of world and one of my favorite festivals.

Lia: Really? What is the name of the holiday?

Jordao: First, it’s a festival called Rio Carnival.

Ytalo: Woww and when does the holiday take place? Tell us more about festival

Jordao: It takes places in Brazil. A wonderful festival that it is celebrated on February five days
preceding that start on Friday until Tuesday or just a day shy where many people are gets together
as well as a lot of participants wear colorful clothes for the occasion. The party starts a day before
the formal launch of the Carnival until a day after the festivity formally ends. It’s a little confuse but
they are celebrate that way but the most important is that I like it a lot.

Lia: So,do I. But it’s very interesting and what do people do in the festival?

Jordao: Many participants and citizens combine story elements such as costumes, groups that sing
songs, parades and street parties. Before this, Rio has always surprised at Carnival with it’s attributes
such as music, dance, Samba school parades and the wonderful architecture of the city. I am very
adventurous and I also learn a lot about this interesting culture.

Ytalo: Me too. It’sincredible to learn about cultures like this.

STORY

Jordao: But that’s not all because I have an amazing story about trip in Brazil.

Lia: Really? What’s the story?

Jordao: Beforte the pandemic, I had a family trip to Brazil for one week. This trip was for my dad’s
birthday.

Ytalo: That sound good that.

Jordao: It is. On the trip, we went on a tour around Rio de Janeiro beaches and island. The day
started when my family and I needed to wake up early and the tour was starting at 8:00 am but we
had been very late.

Lia: Oh no and what did you do?

Jordao: It turns out that we asked for another tour at the agency and they gave it to us. After that,
we went to eat breakfast, then we went to the hotel and there we met the tour guide, he smiled
friendly at us but unfortunately I had gotten lost on the tour.

Ytalo: Woww but what did your parents?

Jordao: So, my parents called me but my cell phone was off. Thank God they were able to find my
location using GPS.

Lia: It was a amazing story but I’m glad it had a happy ending for you. I’m very surprise for your
story.

Ytalo: So, am I. That's why I didn't like going on tour when I was traveling.
Jordao: Neither did I. I don't like to go tours when I was a trip with my parents. Now Ytalo, would
