About the FDP
Tools and techniques of Econometrics are widely
demanding amongst the researchers of various
fields. For research in the field of Econometric, a
practical exposure of tools and techniques of
Econometrics is inevitable. Keeping this mind,
department of commerce of Medi-Caps university
organize a one-week research oriented national
workshop on “Econometrics tools and techniques
for research” in offline mode. This workshop aims
to provide a detailed exposure to the basics of
Econometrics in the context of Applied
Economics.
Program Objective
The objective of the workshop is to impart
knowledge on Econometrics and its application in
the context of empirical research in the fields of
Business, Commerce, Economics, Management,
and other social sciences. Having this in context,
the following are the prime objectives of this
Faculty Development Program that also match
with the goals of FDP:
To teach basics of the Regression analysis and its
variations, error, and its character.
To learn Diagnostic testing, Autocorrelation,
Heteroscedasticity, Multicollinearity etc.
To learn concepts of Time series, construction of
econometrics model and calculating using
software.
To understand the critical value of various test.
To understand specific regression model with
dummy variables: Logit, Probit model etc.
To learn construction of panel data etc..
