Why I Want To Be A Teacher

There are millions of teachers in the world and just one can make the biggest difference.
Teaching is a job that strongly values patience, fairness, and most importantly selflessness. Any
great teacher that I have had in the past twelve years has truly put their students above their own
needs and made their students their top priority. In this essay, I will explain how I would want to
be a teacher even through the rough days because it would be worth it to make a student smile
everyday.
Even though I have had twelve years worth of teachers, six of those years filled with at
least four teachers each, I can remember all of my teachers' names and I am horrible with names.

If I do become a teacher in the future, I would strive to be like one of my teachers that I
have loved over the years. Even if I wasn’t in a certain teacher's class, I still admire and learn
from their ways. For example, My internship teacher has been a teacher in a whole different way
than the rest. I have learned to laugh, cheer up, and stay focused with my students in different
ways than I ever did in my internship the previous year. It is a whole new experience and has
increased my desire to become a teacher like her. All of my teachers have been a huge role
society and not enough people are capable of teaching what students need to be successful. I
want to be able to change the world with my presence. Teachers are underrated when it comes to
changing the world, but in reality teachers change someone's world everyday and are
