In Treatment 2, with the concentration of 75ml yellow ginger extract and 100ml water,

from the initial of 30 termites, the time duration to reach the 100% mortality rate is much faster
than the other treatment: Treatment 1. It eliminated all the termites within 9 minutes. This is 1
minute faster than Treatment 1.

Table 1. The mortality rate of Termites sprayed with yellow ginger (Hedychium flavescens)
extract measured in time intervals.

T2 (75 ml yellow ginger extract + 100 ml water)

T3 (100 ml pure yellow ginger extract)

Finally, in Treatment 3, with the concentration of 100% pure leaves extract, after 8
minutes, all the termites died completely, with a 100% mortality rate. This is the fastest among
the three Treatments in eliminating termites.

(Isoptera).

Within Groups 3325.45 30 110.85

Total 3462.97 32

Decision:
Since p-value of 0.54 greater than 0.5 level of significance’ it was concluded that there is no
significant difference among the potential of the treatments in eliminating termites.
This implies that all the varying level of the treatments could be used in eliminating termites.
