1. Explain with examples of classroom situations the two major purpose of assessment.

The first major purpose of assessment is to evaluate the level of knowledge,


skills, and understanding of their individuals being assess for example during a
discussion the teacher ask if he’s or her student understand what is she discussing in
front if they really understand it or sometimes the teacher asking questions after the
discussion.
The second major purpose of assessment is to provide feedback for
improvement and development for example if the demonstrator or the teacher of the
day done discussing her lessons the assessors or the teacher give her feedback a good
feedback or the things that the demonstrator are improve already and the skills that
need to develop more.

2. What are the principles of great assessment validity and fairness?

 The principles of great assessment in validity are content validity


the assessment should reflect the content and objectives that it is
intended to measure. Next construct validity the assessment
should accurately measure the specific construct or skill it is
design and assess. Next face validity the assessment should appear
to test what is supposed to test. Concurrent validity the
assessment should correlate with other measures administered at
the same time. Next is Predictive validity the assessment should
predict future performance or outcomes related to the construct
being measure. And last is the reliability the assessment should
yield consistent and stable results when administered multiple
times or by dif. Assessors.
 The principles of great assessment in fairness are first cultural
sensitivity the assessment should be culturally sensitive and free
from cultural bias. Next equivalence the assessment should be
equivalent across different groups of test-takers to ensure that all
individuals are being evaluated on the same construct or skill. Next
transparency the assessment process should be transparent and
test-takers should understand the purpose of the assessment the
criteria being used to evaluate their performance. And last review
and revision assessment should be regularly reviewed and revised
to ensure that they are fair and free from bias.
