Learn by Heart
by Cherie Ann I. Dela Vega

Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an important role in everyday life, so as to education

system. It can assess students and adapt to their needs, helping them work at their own pace.
However, students might become overly reliant on AI which may limit their ability to
improve their writing skills independently as based on the data from LinkedIn.
According to BetterUp, critical thinking is the ability to analyze facts and form a
judgement. It allows an individual to perform problem-solving and decision-making more
effectively while human interactions are important for communicating and working with groups
and individuals in one’s personal and professional life. Hence, these skills are one of the
essential aspect of learning.
Overreliance on AI-powered tools leads to less time interaction between students and
educators. Lack of personal connection could exacerbate feelings of isolation and loneliness
which causes a negative impact on student’s mental health as based from the article of Ts2
Space.
Furthermore, students’ skills of learning might slow down and doors for room of
improvement and enhancement will disappear in the void when they all rely on AI-based
learning.
Another reason that AI might negatively affect the students learning is that student
won’t effortly think of a better way of making things work for them since they believe that AI
will provide almost everything ready and done for them effortlessly.
Although AI has the potential to enhance the educational experience, improve learning
outcomes, and support student success, we shouldn’t ignore the fact that it makes students
feebler and only depend on the efforts and intelligence of the AI’s.
In accordance to this matter, we strongly recommend to student to use AI in
moderation and to take advantage of this to significantly learn more. Though AI can basically
provide personalized learning and instant feedback, it still has no heart that can support the
student emotionally as they need to succeed. To hit the books, we need to learn it by heart for
us pass with flying colors.

bond and talk with our families and friends if we want to feel more entertained and connected.
