Get Started

This module was designed to demonstrates awareness of

texture by identifying sounds that are solo or with other sounds.
Creates 3D objects that are used proportioned, balanced and
show emphasis in design, like any of the following: a pencil
holder, bowl, container, using recycled materials like plastic
bottles, etc.
Along the way, you will performs jumping over a stationary
object several times in succession, using forward-and- backward
and side-to-side movement patterns.
Moreover, it also tackles about following rules during fire and
other disaster drills.

DEVOTIONAL “Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and

spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your
heart to the Lord”. Ephesians 5: 19

mouth move. But "with your heart" signifies
that you mean it and that you feel it.

In other words, the essence of Christian

worship is not mere liturgical actions - or
any other kind - but an inner, authentic
valuing of God in the heart.

OPENING PRAYER:

Dear God, I would like to say thank you for all the blessings that
had given to me. Please guide me always to stay connected unto
to you through singing spiritual songs. In Jesus name, Amen.

3
MELC (Most Essential Learning Competencies)

After going through this module, you are expected to:

Hello friends, here are our

learning targets. These are
Learning Targets: the skills that we need to
master as we go along and
At the end of the lesson, the pupil finish our different tasks.

Performance Tasks:

MUSIC- You will demonstrate a polyphony in music by forming a band

among the family members as a team, and sing songs with the use of
instruments.
ARTS- You will create any objects that comes from recycled materials by
sorting your own things that you do not use any more, considered junk,
and broken items that may still be repaired.
P. E.- You will execute the obstacle movements by doing the actions
over a stationary object.
HEALTH- You will discover and see if your house is safe for the whole
family by checking the column about safety checklist at home.

Integration of Faith & Learning:

“Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ”. Ephesians 5: 20

"To the Lord," means that worship is to be

God-centered, of Christ-centered (the
"Lord" is Jesus, but notice in verse 20 that
thanks are continually offered to God the
Father in the name of the "Lord" Jesus).

But not just God-centered in that

everything in worship relates to God, but
also God-centered in that everything in
worship is done toward God - in the
presence of God, with a view to God's
hearing it and seeing it, with a desire that
God receive it into his hearing with
approval and delight.

5
Learning Target 1 Music (Day 1): I can identify monophonic in music by
reciting and performing any children’s rhymes and riddles at home.

Receive and Integrate

If you hear a song sung by one or

person in unison and without any
accompaniment, then you are hearing a
song whose texture is monophonic. The
word monophonic comes from two words: mono and phonic. Mono
means one while phonic refers to sound. Combined together, which
means having a single unaccompanied melodic line. Monophonic
music has a thin texture.
Songs sung in unison are also monophonic. Singing in unison is done
by two or more people. They sing the monophonic song altogether
without accompaniment. Chants and rhymes have monophonic
textures too.
Polyphony was derived from the Greek word which means “many-
sounding”. It refers to more layers of sounds of voices heard
simultaneously. In music, polyphony is a texture consisting of two or
more melodic voices. It is considered a thick texture. A round song is
an example of a polyphony texture. A round song is a simple song
where parts are repeated
and sung at the same time.
Color the picture.

6
Observe how texture in music is demonstrated. Do this activity
at home. Recite any children’s rhymes and riddles. Take a video
on this activity and send it to our GC account.

Learning Target 2 ART (Day 2): I can make my own pencil holder through
the use of some recycled materials that are available at home.

Receive and Integrate

Recycling is good for us and our

environment. You make use of what
would otherwise be discarded. You
could still make something useful
out from materials such as fallen
leaves, used cartons, forgotten buttons, scratch papers, or whatever materials
that would have been thrown away. Recycling also helps limit our use of
natural resources.

“And when they had

eaten their fill, he told his
disciples, “Gather up the
leftover fragments, that
nothing may be lost.”
John 6: 12

Jesus feed the multitude.

Color the picture.

7
Create a “Pencil Holder” with the use of some recycled
materials found in your vicinity.

Materials needed: glue, yarn,

small can or plastic drinking glass.

What to do:
1. Cover the top inch outside of
the can with glue.
2. Wind yarn row by row, making sure each is close to the previous row.
3. Add more glue and yarn until finished, changing colors if desired.

Learning Target 3 P.E. (Day 3): I can do the basic movements using box as
a hand instrument by following the actions presented in the picture.

Stretching, bending, walking, jumping, and

hopping in the same way develop the body
but they are no longer exciting if done
repeatedly. Doing these basic movements
using simple hand instruments and some
obstacles makes these activities more
enjoyable.

“But as for you, be strong and

do not give up, for your work will
be rewarded”. 2 Chronicles 15: 7

Color the picture.

8
Do the basic movements using box as hand instrument. Follow
the actions below. Do each action twice.

Trunk bending Knee bending

Stepping sideward Jumping with a box

Learning Target 4 HEALTH (Day 4): I can fill the blanks with the correct word
by reading each statement about safety rules during disaster.

The wind blew the kite away from me. We

experience different types of weather. Without
weather, life on Earth would not be complete. It is
when we have “too much weather” that we have

Safety rules during disasters should be put up and followed to avoid being hurt.
