Introduction:**

Good morning everyone and welcome to my presentation. First of all, let me thank you all for
coming here today. Before starting today’s presentation, I’ll introduce a little bit about myself.
My name’s... I’m a junior student. As you can see on the screen, our topic today is showing an
interest in other people. This topic is of particular interest to those of you who wanna cultivate
effective communication and create a good impression on partners: it supports you to have a
meaningful conversation and comprehend each other, thus, we can build strong relationships.
Moreover, you can widen your networking as well as career opportunities, which means that
when you express an interest in other people, they can be open-minded and ready to share their
thoughts so you can get high productivity. Besides, being interested in others is a way to support
some people who are depressed, through interaction, you can encourage and foster them to
overcome difficulties in society. So how can we show an interest in other people? Our
presentation will supply three tips: echo, empathize, and paraphrase to help you be successful in
showing an interest in other people. Therefore, you can be confident and comfortable in any
conversation. I will show you an overview of three tips: echo: repeat the main information to
boost the next explanation; empathize: use phrases to express that you comprehend your
partner’s feelings; paraphrase: restate in your own words what has been said to prove that you
are listening.
