INSERTING PICTURES

PICTURES- are images which could be downloaded from

other sources or created through Photo Editing Software
FORMAT- tab which automatically appears in the ribbon.
-it contains icons used to change the default appearance of the
clipart
-it contains Adjust, Picture Styles, Arrange and Size Group
BRIGHTNESS- used to adjust the lightness of darkness of the
clipart
CONTRAST- used to display the contrasting colors of the inserted
clipart
RECOLOR- used to change the default color of the clipart
RESET PICTURE- used to reset the clipart to it’s original
appearance.
PICTURE STYLES- group which contains icons such as frames,
picture border, border color, weight and picture effects
FRAME- used to enclose the clipart in a frame or border
BORDER COLOR- used to change the default border color
BORDER WEIGHT- used to change the default thickness of the
picture border
PICTURE EFFECT- includes effects that could be applied to the
clipart such as Shadow, Reflection, Glow, Bevel, 3D Rotation, Soft
Edges
3D- 3 dimentional includes width, length and height dimension of an
image
ARRANGE GROUP- group found under format tab, used to change
the default text wrapping, rotate and flip command
TEXT WRAPPING- used to format clipart to appear behind text, in
front of text, square, tight, in line with text
ROTATE- a command used to pivot a clipart into several angles
FLIP- a command used to create a mirror effect to an image or
clipart
FLIP HORIZONTAL

FLIP VERTICAL

CROP- a command used to trim or cut a portion of a clipart

CHART- is a graphical representation of data

-allows the user to easily compare data and information through
graph

COLUMN CHART- default chart type in MS WORD

TABS WHICH AUTOMATICALLY APPEARS AFTER

DESIGN TAB- contains icons such as chart type, quick layout and
edit data
QUICK LAYOUT- command which offers options for default chart
layout with chart title, category axis and value axis titles
EDIT DATA- command button used to edit the content of the
worksheet data
CHART TYPE- used to change the deafault chart type
FORMAT TAB- contains icons used to change the default format
and appearance of the inserted chart
 INSERTING SMARTART GRAPHICS IN A WORD

SMARTART GRAPHICS- an option in MS Word used to present

information trough the use of diagrams and shapes

FORMAT- tab which automatically appears in the ribbon after

inserting diagram
-it contains icons or command buttons used to change the deafult
appearance of the inserted shape
SHAPE STYLES- displays preset styles for the inserted shape
SHAPE FILL- command used to apply background to the shape
which includes gradient, texture, pattern and picture
SHAPE OUTLINE- used to change the default life style color and
line weight of the shape
EDIT SHAPE- icon used to change the inserted shape into freeform
shape
CHANGE SHAPE- used to replace the existing shape with the one
you select in the change shape option
SHADOW EFFECTS- used to apply shadow style in the inserted
shape
3D EFFECT- used to format shape to appear as a 3-dimensional
object
SIZE- an icon used to resize the inserted shape by entering a fixed
value for width and height in inches
