Title: Tracing Letter for Kindergarten

SC Standards:

Kindergarten 1.4 – Recognize and name all upper- and lower-case letters of the alphabet.

Kindergarten 3.1 – Produce one-to-one letter-sound correspondences.

Kindergarten 5.3 – Write letter(s) for familiar consonant and vowel sounds.

Kindergarten 6.2 – Print upper and lower-case letters.

Description: This app lesson develops students in kindergarten’s letter writing skills.
Instructional Objective: Students will learn to write letter by starting with tracing letters and
advance to writing the letter with no template.

Step 1: Students will use the iTrace (handwriting for kids) app to learn to correctly write letters
with a template and demonstration.

Step 2: Students will use the myViewBoard Whiteboard app to write the letters that the teacher
has uploaded in the app for them. They will screenshot the final product and for the teacher.

Step 3: Teacher will say a letter and if it is lowercase or uppercase 3 times. After the teacher
says the letter, they will give the students an extra minute. Then the students will use the
Whiteboard app to write the letter. The teacher would mark if they wrote the letter correctly or
incorrectly.
