Tasks

1. Offloading & Transportation of Materials Around Site Responsible

a) Materials will be delivered to site inside a 40’ shipping container, the container will need to be Nano Clean
unloaded external to the new Hospital complex and then transported to a secure site store
area adjacent to the new cleanroom location, with the assistance of the main contractor TTC.

b) Offloading of all panels will be from the 40’ shipping container and will be carried out with the Nano Clean
use of Nano Clean manual labourers and/or forklift truck managed by TTC. From the
unloading location all of the panels will need to be moved with the support of TTC to B01
level adjacent to the new IV plantroom. As and when required selected panels will then be
transported from the store location through to the working area using pallet type
trucks/trollies and stored temporarily for that days installation work. (For route from unloading
area to site installation area see attached sketch).

c) DAILY Waste Removal – Skips will be provided by TTC. Note:- All waste removal will be by Nano
manual labour. Clean/TTC
Nano Clean Ltd Limited will ensure all personal are familiar with lift plans and procedures
and that correct PPE is worn.

2. Installation Works Responsible

Prior to work commencing the works area shall be suitably barriered / cordoned off. TTC to
provide the appropriate Health & Safety signage warning of installation tasks and to restrict
unauthorised persons from the area.

All site operatives shall receive a suitable site induction.

Step 1. Mark out floor channel positions on floor using battery powered laser line level. Nano Clean

Step 2. Position and fix floor channels ready for wall panels using gas canister hilti gun and fixings. Nano Clean

Step 3. Manually lift partition panels from a horizontal position to a vertical position and place the Nano Clean
panel on to the base channel profile, whilst also utilising the floor channel as a back-stop
for the lift process.

Step 4. Manually lift next panel into position using same method as step 3. Nano Clean

Step 5. To join panels together use the appropriate extrusion (i.e. wall connection aluminium spline Nano Clean
profile)

Step 6. Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 in order until corner reached or ripped panel is required. Nano Clean
To rip a panel, first measure the gap so that panel size can be achieved, next cut panel
within the working area (to be cordoned off), lie the panel flat on work trestles, ensure the
floor is even and flat and trestles are locked in position. Mark out the panel, lay saw guide
on to the panel and commence cutting using the 110v circular saw. (Ensure saw is fitted in
accordance with manufacturers guidelines and that only skilled professional/competent
fitters carry out this task). Any windows that need to be installed into wall runs are fitted
using the same aluminium spline connector as the walls, apertures for windows are formed
using panels sized and manufactured in the factory to suit the window frame. When cutting
panels ensure correct PPE is worn (i.e. gloves, face mask, safety glasses, tyvek suit with
long sleeves), however note that saw is complete with extraction system.

Step 7. Install any ripped panel as described in steps 3 and 4 & 5. Nano Clean

Step 8. When lifting panels to suit doorway, window etc. use same method as step 3 and 4. i.e. cut Nano Clean
panels within cordoned off area using 110v circular saw then manually transfer panel to
position and lift vertically into position.

Step 9. If any aperture cut-out(s) are to be made in the panels in situ, then before any cutting Nano Clean
commences the area is to be surveyed and checked to ensure no service(s) or
obstructions are running behind the wall/ceiling panels (for example when cutting apertures
in wall panels for electrical socket outlets or magnahelic gauges to be mounted). Once
surveyed then the aperture needs to be marked on to the panel, and tape applied to the
cutting lines, a small hole will need to be drilled in one corner of the aperture to allow
access for the battery powered jigsaw blade. Next cut the aperture out using the jigsaw
blade. Any exposed aperture cut out’s, or ripped panels are to be dressed immediately
with grey fabric duct tape to protect from cut injuries and to aid cleanliness regime. Refer to
the partition layout and elevation drawings to ensure apertures are cut in the correct
location and also that the correct extrusions are being used. If extrusions need to be cut,
measure and mark extrusions to the correct length before cutting on bench mounted 110v
chop saw. (Any services running in service panels or wall panels will be clipped if
appropriate/necessary)
Nano Clean
Step 10. Start/End of wall runs need to be finished using aluminium coved extrusion which need to
be fixed either to parent building structure or adjacent wall panels. Use the appropriate
screws to fix the extrusions in place.

Step 11. Continue build of all panels as in steps 3, 4 and 5 until all partition walls are built, checking Nano Clean

periodically that the structure is stable/safe. Temporary brackets will be added as and
when required to ensure the installation is being installed securely, these brackets are
usually fixed to the partition wall panels / parent building structure.

Step 12. Commence installation of door frames. Door frames are supplied assembled and simply Nano Clean
slot into the space previously prepared during panel installation. The frames are held in
position by using a battery powered drill and proprietary factory supplied fixings. The frame
and door come complete with lift on/off hinges already fixed so it is a simple task to hang
the door in position. Engineer installing the doors will check during and after the installation
that doors are level and close correctly.

Step 13. Fix door closer to door/door frame using a battery drill and self tapping screws – 5mm. Nano Clean

Step 14. Fit windows into apertures prepared during panel installation. Apply sealant to inside Nano Clean
window frame and then push into position. To hold in position use fabric duct tape. Allow
a minimum of three hours for sealant to cure before removing fabric tape.

Step 15. Tidy site of all debris Nano Clean

Step 16. Commence Installation of ceiling panels. All ceiling panels have been manufactured to Nano Clean
specific size and join together using the same method as the wall panels. Some ceiling
panels (under 5%) will need to be ripped to size, again use the same methods for cutting
the panels as described above for wall panel installation. (Note – before commencing
installation of the ceiling panels TTC are to be advised and inspection request is to be
submitted to enable TTC to check any new / existing services that would be located above Nano Clean
finished ceiling, TTC may wish to check ceiling progress every 2 days and especially
before last panels are installed). For lifting ceiling panels into position use manual labour
and/or genie lift if required. The ceiling panels are supported using the wall panels at either
end, panels simply butt up to each other with an aluminium extrusion spline joint used for
holding them together. Once panel location is finalised then proprietary factory supplied
screws can be used for fixing the ceiling panels into the wall panels.

Step 17. To provide further stability and strength a factory manufactured galvanised ‘C’ channel is Nano Clean
provided to run across the top of the ceiling panels (at 90 degrees to panel joint). The
channel is to be screwed to the perimeter butt edge joints of the ceiling panel using battery
powered impact drivers/wrench and factory supplied proprietary self tapping screws.

Step 18. Once the ceiling panels have been completed then ancillary equipment (i.e. filter box Nano Clean
enclosures, light fittings and grille boxes) can be installed.

Step 19. All ancillary equipment is installed into factory prepared apertures in the ceiling panels. The Nano Clean
lights /filter and grille boxes simply slot into the appropriate aperture and are held in place
by fixing the factory supplied proprietary support frames to the top of the ceiling panels
using a battery powered impact driver and self-tapping screws. A large percentage of this
work will need to be done above the cleanroom ceiling ‘working at height’, all operatives
involved with this task are to read and acknowledge the method statement and JSEA
statement covering ‘Working at Height’.

Step 20. Note:- The following steps are not to be carried out until all wall, ceiling panels and
ancillary equipment stated above have been installed.

Step 21. Remove all factory applied protective plastic sheet from partition wall and ceiling panels. Nano Clean

Step 22. Wipe down all panels using cleaner and lint free cloths paying particular attention to all Nano Clean
joints. ENSURE OPERATOR WEARS GLOVES, FACE MASK AND GOGGLES.

Step 23. Apply silicone sealant to all partition wall joints, etc. For silicone work at height, operatives Nano Clean
to work off stepladders and /or podium steps and/or mobile scaffold tower. If using
stepladders then operatives should not overreach, no more than third step from the top,

and any access through ceiling access apertures must be by using ladders tied off and not
stepladders/podium steps.

Step 24. Upon completion of all tasks Nano Clean are to carry out full inspection of the installation
before requesting TTC / Consultants to inspect & approve
