Safety Management
PPE Safety helmet, overalls, glasses, ear defenders, boots, face mask. – Also refer to job / task specific
risk assessments for task specific PPE requirements and specifications that may be required.
a) The electrical panels will be delivered to site by transport supplied by Royal Voltage.
b) Offloading of all the electrical panels will be direct from vehicle transport using a Forklift Truck supplied and
managed by TTC. (Nano Clean to provide 48 hours notice of delivery in order to book slot for FLT)
c) Waste Removal – Skips will be provided by TTC. Note:- All waste removal will be by manual labour.
Nano Clean Ltd Limited will ensure all personal are familiar with lift plans and procedures and that correct
PPE is worn.
2. Installation Works
Prior to work commencing the works area shall be suitably barriered / cordoned off and signage displayed
to restrict unauthorised persons from the area.
Suitable Mechanical aids (FLT and/or pallet trucks) can be used for this task. Where high risk works are
involved then safety clearance must be obtained from safety department prior to proceed.
Step 1. Engineer in charge will instruct workers regarding the execution of the works and will distribute latest
version of shop drawings with all necessary available details of works.
Step 2. Engineer in charge will also check that all tools, equipment available are in compliance with the
contractor requirements / safety standards and as per necessity.
Step 3. Electrical Panels will be moved into final location by pallet truck and will lifted into position using
manual labour, ensuring safe lifting procedures are followed.
Step 4. Once the panels are moved into the area the engineer is to cross check dimensions and fixing
holes/brackets for the panels.
Step 5. Next mark the locations on electrical room block-work walls, drill suitable sized holes, and fix panels to

the walls using appropriate fixings, battery and hand tools. Final check to ensure all panels are level.
Step 6. Install the correct sized MCB’s into the distribution board.
Step 7. Ensure the panel(s) have been labelled appropriately on the outside to warn people “LIVE – 230/400
VOLTS – DANGER OF DEATH” or similar
Step 8. Request Inspection of the panel installation from TTC, so that they can continue with power supply
installation.
3. Risk Assessments
The below Nano Clean risk assessments are applicable to the detailed works and should be read in conjunction with the
above information.
The below materials and substances are to be used and control measures detailed within COSHH assessments adhered to.
List Materials and Substances used and reference applicable COSHH assessments.
5. Welfare
• Toilets are located within the hospital/CIVA area and all care to be taken when using and to be left clean & tidy -
(TTC to advise if any other on site temporary facilities have been provided during site induction)
• No food or drink is permitted on Site.
• Smoking is permitted only in the Compounds. (TTC to advise further instructions)
