Terrestrial Motion- that is movement that the earth makes.

Motion – is the process of something moving or changing place, or even just
changing position.

TYPES OF TERRESTRIAL MOTION

1.Motion with respect to change in quality
2. motion with respect to change in quantity
3. Motion with respect to change in place.

1. Quality
- known as alteration
- new substance may be formed
- color and chemical properties may change
EX: wood to coal, rusting of metals, weathering of rocks
2. Quantity

-known as diminution or growth

-causes an increase or decrease in the amount of a substance
EX: continuous increase in the number of bricks

Any situation where there is an increase or decrease in quantity is a

motion with respect to change quantity.

3. Place
- known as local motion
- causes a body to change position

ELABORATE QUESTION AND ANSWER/ PICK A NUMBER (5 mins)

G. Finding Practical of - The student will pick a number and those lucky names who
concepts and skills in daily point out with that number will answer the following question.
living Guide question:

 Of all the three types of motion which is more

convincing? Why?
 For at least 2 students to answer, differentiate the
different types of terrestrial motion.
PAST IS PAST! / PASS A PAPER (5 mins)
H. Making Generalization and
Abstractions throughout the - The students will sing leron-leron sinta, while passing the paper
in their seatmates, then the teacher would say stop the paper
Lesson
