Good morning teachers, students, and parents.

I am so grateful for you voting me in as your

school captain for 2024. I would like to congratulate my fellow captain ___, and to all of the
new leadership team whom I really look forward to working with next year.

Firstly, I appreciate all the amazing teachers who have supported, guided, and inspired me.
Thank you for being role models who I’ve always looked up to since the beginning of my
time at this school. I would also like to acknowledge this year’s fantastic captains- Zoe and
Asher- for being part of the inspiration for me to try for school captain this year. I am also so
grateful for my family and friends out in the audience today for encouraging me to keep
going and seeking to keep doing my best.

Leadership is a trait that I knew I wanted to acquire. Presently having leadership roles in
music inside and outside of school, I grew to learn skills that I needed to become a great role
model for younger students and friends. This is because I always strive to show the three
core values- Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best.

Earning this role means so much to me as I head into my final year at this school, a time to
