introduction
school of health and allied sciences was established in 2058 B.S. it is
located in the pokhara-30,kaski Nepal . it is affiliated to the pokhara university . Its
first programme is the bachelor of pharmaceutical science( B.pharm) later the
other undergraduate programme were added .

it is the fully facilliated with educational infrastructure including pharmaceutical

lab ,library and respective faculty classes. It have all the instrument available for
working properly in the lab. It provide very good environment for the students
to studying .

This was visited on 29th chaitra , 2080 B.S.

Purpose of the visit

The purpose of the visit to expose the students to pharmaceutical lab visiting of
the pokhara university

The specific objectives are given below :

 To observe different equipment related to pharmaceutical lab

 To know the working mechanism of the different equipment.
 To understand how the safety, efficacy and consistency of pharmaceutical
product
  To observe different medicinal plant related pharmacognosy under storage
condition

Methodology
We are collected data from the different method such as
 Direct observation followed by the students.
 Instruction from the laboratory volunteer.
 Asking the queries to the senior students .

Observation
we were able to gain the knowledge of the different pharmacy related lab such as
 Pharmacognosy lab
 Pharmaceutics
 Pharmaceutical chemistry
 Biochemistry
 Pharmacology
We were able to understand the different instrument related to pharmaceutical
and their working mechanism,

Enteric coated tablet take 0.1N 2hrs crack
4 Flame photometer It is used to measure optical density
 5. Flame hood Uses to discharge waste present in the area
experiment where harmful fume emit
6. Clevenger apparatus Use to extract the volatile oil from the medicinal
plant
7. Muffle furnance Uses for the determination of the quality of the
drug
8. Autoclave Used for the steriliziation of the instrument.
9. Digital friability test It used to know the strength of the tablet .

Limitation
 The labrotary were not fully managed .
 There were a lack of chemical in lab
 There was lack of time to visit the lab and their working mechanism to
understand
 The instructions given by the instructor was not be cleared
 There was a crowdy of the students in lab so there was lack of space in
the lab

Conclusion
our educational tour was very interesting , students actively participate and gain
the knowledgable information of various instrument available in the lab .from
these educational tour know about how to facing the different types of problem
and finding the problem.
