BOG CLIFF PROCTECTION
1. GENERAL
BOG compressor is located on cliff beside LNG jetty abutment; the distance of outer
perimeter fence to edge of cliff is approximately 9.2 m. From soil boring test, the toe of cliff
is classified as hard soil with N SPT > 30. However, the soil is not strong enough to protect
toe from erosion and sea abrasion. This condition become critical since equipments are
standing on cliff and protection of cliff is must for long-term use.
2. OBJECTIVE
This work package will give information of scope of work that shall be completed to protect
BOG cliff from sea abrasion.

5. SCOPE OF WORK
Scope of work covered in this package is as follows:
1. Supply and off load rock materials from the Barge at Construction Jetty. Ensure that
the Barge with its full draft can approach to the shore line close to Construction Jetty
during high tide with assistance of shallow draft Tug boats.
2. Off load the rocks from the barge onto the shore using excavators.
3. Conveying the rocks to the designated stock area by provide access road from
construction jetty to BOG cliff
4. Surveying, by a competent surveyor to layout, setting and install the batter board as
a guide for horizontal and vertical control during the course of work
5. Preparing shore line surface (cleaning, grading) using excavator. Particular care must
be taken to avoid any damage to the existing cliff face, as this could increase the risk
of failure of the cliff material. The cliff face should be inspected daily during the
construction operations for signs of any cracking that could lead to falling material,
which would need to be stabilized.
6. Installing the geofabric (double layer) along the shore line
7. Construct amour rock under layer to the design specifications
8. Survey to check the under layer amour rock
9. Construct top layer amour rock
10. Survey to check the top layer amour rock
11. Finishing work
All work shall comply with specification and fulfill Guidance of Certification (GOC)
requirement
