Answer Any 2 Full Questions (20 marks)
1 A cone of base 40 mm diameter and axis 70 mm long has one of its
generators on the HP. A plane containing that generator and the axis is

perpendicular to HP and inclined at 45° to the VP. Draw its projections
when the base is nearer to VP than the vertex.

2 A cone base 75 mm diameter and axis 75 mm long has its axis parallel to
VP and inclined at 45° to HP. A horizontal section plane cuts the cone

through the mid-point of the axis. Draw the front view and sectional top
view.

3 A pentagonal prism of side of base 30 mm and height 70 mm has coaxial

hole of 30 mm diameter. The prism is placed with its axis vertical and is
cut by a plane inclined at 40° to the HP and bisecting the axis. Draw the

true shape of the section. What is the maximum length of the hollow
portion of the section? Name the shape of the hollow portion in the true
shape.

PART – B
Answer Any 2 Full Questions (20 marks)
4 A vertical cylinder of 75 mm diameter and 95 mm height is cut by a
section plane perpendicular to VP and inclined at 450 to the axis and

passes through the left end of the horizontal diameter of the top face.
Draw the development of the lateral surface of the truncated cylinder.

5 A cone of base diameter 48 mm and height 58 mm is resting with its base

on HP. The top portion is removed by a horizontal plane passing through
a point through a point which is 24 mm below the apex of the cone. The

bottom portion is then removed by a plane inclined at 300 to HP and
passing through the extreme right of the base. Draw the development of
the remaining portion of the cone.
6 Draw the top view, front view and any one side view of the figure shown
below. The front view direction is marked as X. Any missing dimension
may be suitably assumed.
