WHAT TO DO NEXT
ACCEPT YOUR OFFER OF ADMISSION:
To accept the offer, fill out the Response to Offer of
Admission form and submit your $400 enrollment deposit
through your Applicant Portal. The acceptance deadline is
11:59 PM Eastern on May 15, 2024.
GET TO KNOW ONECAMPUS:
Finding things you need to be a part of the community is a
lot easier with OneCampus. See onecampus.vt.edu for forms,
portal entries, and more.
CREATE YOUR VT USERNAME:
Once your payment is processed and you have officially
accepted your offer, you will receive an email with instructions
on how to create your VT Username and email address. Your
email address will be your VT Username followed by @vt.edu
and can be accessed through Outlook at my.office365.vt.edu
by entering the full email address. Please note that this can
take 48-72 hours after your payment is received through your
Applicant Portal.
REMEMBER YOUR MAJOR AND STUDENT ID:
You will need these two pieces of information often as a new
Virginia Tech student.

REQUIRED ITEMS FOR NEW STUDENTS:
ƒ I mmunizations — Submit your required immunization
history by June 30th. Visit healthcenter.vt.edu and scroll
to “New Students.”
ƒ Check computer requirements: compreq.vt.edu.
ƒ  omplete required online programs such as alcoholEDU,

diversityEDU, and Haven. (Opens in August)
ƒ Complete any placement assessments if applicable
for your major, such as ALEKS, prior to being advised
for coursework. Information, including deadlines for
completion, will be sent to you through your VT email.
ƒ  omplete additional financial aid requirements as
C to offer by downloading the Hokies on Track app now.

OFFERS MAY BE WITHDRAWN UNDER ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:
If your final grades are significantly lower than your previous academic performance in your final year or semester; if your final transcript(s) reveals that
you have failed to complete the university’s minimum requirements for admission; if your final transcript(s) is not received by the Office of Undergraduate
Admissions as directed; if your Self-Reported Academic Record and your final official transcript have a major discrepancy; if your post-admission criminal
record inquiry is not cleared. Please note: if your semester grades fall below a 2.0, your offer of admission is automatically rescinded.
ƒ Complete your housing and dining contract by
June 1st and consider applying for up to three living-
learning programs at llp.vt.edu.
ƒ Complete your mandatory virtual orientation at
orientation.vt.edu by July 31st.

prior to meeting with an academic advisor.

JUNE - JULY
ƒ Submit your final high school grades in the
Self-Reported Academic Record if previously
submitted and submit final transcripts by July 15th*.
ƒ Submit official test scores by July 15th if you
applied requesting that scores be reviewed with
your application.
ƒ Check your VT email for important information about
virtual academic advising and course registration.
ƒ Families should checkout students.vt.edu/families
for information about Family Weekend and important
resources such as the Hokie Family Hub, Hokie
eNews, and more!
ƒ Attend Summer Start (if applicable).
ƒ Watch for tuition bill notification by mid-July.
ƒ Visit students.vt.edu/transition/visits for information
about the optional in-person visit opportunity for
students and families occurring in July.
AUGUST
ƒ Make your fall tuition payment by the deadline on
your bill.
ƒ Purchase a parking pass once they become available
if you are bringing a car to campus.
