Health is a big factor in our daily lives. Having a healthy lifestyle is important and not that easy, but with God
everything is possible. A person’s health status can be measured through body mass index. Physical activeness
can be measured through BMI. Thus, this study used correlational research design to see the relationship
between BMI and Physical Activeness of the respondents. This study was conducted among 88 employees in the
Municipality of San Miguel, Leyte. Descriptive Statistics and Pearson R were used in analyzing the data. Results
show that the average body mass index of employees is 24.1984, which belongs to normal category. Majority of
the respondents (80%) perform exercise. Moreover, employees based on the findings, exercise two times a week.
Lastly, the findings indicate that there is significantly no relationship between BMI and Physical Activeness of
the respondents since the p-value is greater than 0.05.
