Playground Player

My neighborhood elementary schoolyard surveyed a two-story brick school building

surrounded by a large playground generously equipped with swing sets, monkey bars, softball
fields, and a paved basketball court. On arrival, the neighborhood children transformed
themselves into playground players temporally interlocked in playground play.

The playground sported a school staff constructed softball field complete with a backstop and
dirt infield and five kid-made field-work softball fields of various dimensions bounded by two
back streets, one north and one west, and a south fence. Concurrently, a large unmarked
timeworn plot nestled between the playground equipment, the paved basketball court, and the
softball fields offered a versatile domain for the playground kids. Winter sliding ice games,
marble spring games, and the running game, pom-pom-pull-away, “come away, or I’ll pull you
away.”

During the noon (hour) recess, the teachers permitted the playground children to walk across
the main road, east of the elementary school, accessing a vast tract of land known as the
school hills. The topography and cold winter snow ensured smooth sliding on strips of
cardboard: Packing the snow to an icy glaze. It felt daring to slide down an ice-covered hillside
on one's feet. Many a time, the older boys would challenge the younger boys to prove their
courage. The ultimate thrill had to be sliding on a large piece of plywood plunging with speed,
spinning to the bottom of a packed-down snow-covered hill.

Although suitably signed to walk home during the noon (hour), I preferred to eat my box lunch
inside the school building, therefore, extending my playtime on the playground. An altruistic
proprietor of a private residence near the school grounds entertained the children with games
and refreshments during the noon (hour) recess. I found this site to be fun and cheerful:
Nevertheless, I remember visiting only twice, preferring the amenities of playground play.

Indeed, my grade school softball games displayed neither the fanfare nor fame of the
nearby, major league, professional baseball team. However, my games did spiritually
embody (1) the joy of the moment, (2) a sense of fulfillment, and (3) standards of excellence:
measured and judged by all in attendance in both time and place.
In retrospect, a spring day softball game played on the kid-made field located at the southeast
corner of the playground presented a set of rules and procedures for the playground players to
follow. A popular vote selected the captains. Placing a hand over fist on a bat awarded a first or
second choice of players. Each team featured ten position players: The captains managed the
batting order and defensive placement. Extra players roamed at will in the outfield.

8
The game progressed in an orderly manner as I waited within the self-enforced boundary limits
of the on-deck circle: engaging in preliminary actions. Deftly, I stepped into the unmarked
left-handed batter’s box next to the drawn-in-the-dirt home plate. I faced the pitcher with my
wood bat waving back and forth, absorbed in spatial thought, isolated from extraneous
diversions such as catcher conversations, crowd chatter, and the ramblings of the opposing
team.

The first pitch fell short of home plate: At that moment in time, I scanned the outfield for
defensive alignment noting, one player in left, one player in center, and three in the right-field
area. The next pitch angled far outside. I scanned the outfield again. The number of players in
the right-field area had swelled considerably, collectively waving their arms, calling for me to
hit the ball to them.

The next pitch seemed about right: ignoring the masses that populated right-field, I prepared
myself to hit the ball to left-center-field. I stepped back with my left foot rotating the head of
the bat low around my body. Presently, I stepped forward with my right foot delivering an
uppercut swing that powered the softball in the direction of the left-center-field gap.

I ran to first base, visually aware of the ball bouncing in the distance, chased by the
playground players. Pleased and delighted, I became immersed in navigating within the
framework of the game.

As a childhood playground player, I improvised methods to manipulate the tools of the

game to boost athletic abilities on the field of play. Indeed, the well-ordered softball field
parameters instilled in me an in-control perspective.

Solitary Play

(1) My local backyard boundary measured one full acre. The well-manicured level lawn
provided an excellent play area. No fence is needed.

Hours and hours throughout the summer, I played solitary backyard baseball.

My imagination provided the means to play made-up ball games on a made-up ball field. I
adapted rules for solitary play. A fly ball caught in the air or on the first bounce was an out.

A wooden bat and a rubber ball were standard equipment. Pieces of wood or rocks marked
home the bases and home plate. An unmarked batter’s box served its function well.

I displayed a natural disciplined intensity hitting self-tossed fly balls into the outfield, fielding
on the run, and throwing the ball to the appropriate base.

Indeed, I was my /own/ batter, my /own/ fielder, and my /own/scorekeeper.

Only later did I understand the significance of solitary play.

(2) My childhood geographical locale provided backyard seasonal game variation. Winter
supplied snow and ice that covered the ground for months. Summer delivered a multitude of
bright blue sky days. White cloud puffs that dotted the afternoon sky swelled into high pile
thunderheads by evening.

The distinct weather season cycles stimulated various interplay adaptations, imagination, and
resourcefulness.

I engaged many a summer day immersed in a brick wall, solitary, rubber ball game. The glass
block window inserted into the brick wall furnished a target that provided a predictable ball
flight pattern. I skillfully employed various throwing angles to produce fly balls, ground balls,
and line drives.

Only later did I understand the significance of solitary play.

Solitary play-action fine-tuned decision-making abilities, independent problem-solving skills,

and deep focus technique.

Parallel Pathways

The main road traveled on top of a hill above the right-field fence offers a picturesque view of
the bowl-shaped softball ball field below. Several stores, office buildings, and a railway station
occupied the hilly terrain north of the first base foul line. The railroad tracks cut into a steep
embankment traveling north-south parallel and east to the third baseline. South, a vast
lumber mill extended well beyond the left-field fence punctuated by a massive smokestack.

Softball games attracted an enthusiastic walk-in crowd from the surrounding town.
The locals, seeking an upper-deck view, parked alongside the road above the right-field fence.
They watched the games from inside their cars as others sat in chairs on the road’s shoulder.

Many a night, a dynamic group of steadfast men on the road bank whittled throughout the
evening until sundown. All at once, at the appointed time, the freshly carved shavings were
torched, signaling the anticipated end to the proceedings.

My softball game plan, forged from numerous self-imposed lessons, mandated hitting safely
past infielders and away from outfielders. I did have a natural flair for generating base hits by
manipulating my wrists to impart spin to the softball with day-to-day placement precision.

On a Sunday afternoon, I remember in detail a defensive play during a local softball

tournament that was rapidly coming to an end.

Setting the stage, it was the bottom of the seventh inning, one out, runners on first and second
base with the local team leading by three runs. I played the third position.

I scanned the field, extracted, and assimilated the information anticipating the next series of
moves. Once the pitcher released the ball, I played by subconscious feel awareness alone,
machine-like, but flexible within the framework of the unfolding play.

The hitter centered the bat on the pitched ball sending a line drive deep to the left-center-field
area that landed safely bounding towards the left-field fence. Concurrently, the trained and
experienced defensive playmakers responded efficiently to the developing action dictated by the
ball flight pattern, the speeding runners, and the overall dynamics of the game.

I moved up the third-base line toward home-plate a few feet then, I stepped inside the foul line
as the runner from second-base rounded the third-base bag to score.

The runner from first-base was now rounding third. Inside the foul line, I witnessed the runner
speeding past me towards home as the shortstop unleashed a straight-line throw to home.

The runner's speed, the velocity, and the direction of the thrown ball prompted my position on
the field to change closer to home plate outside the foul line.

The relay arrived well ahead of the runner to the catcher waiting at home plate. Aware that he
would be out at home, the runner slid to a stop, turned, ran straight back up the line to
third-base. I was in the right spot. I shouted, “throw the ball’’, and that he did: a perfect throw
directed to the middle of the runner’s back.

13
As the ball nestled into my glove, my peripheral vision spotted the hitter steamrolling around
the second-base location. Presently, being perceptually aware that the runner shielded the
third-base umpire from view, I slipped the ball out of my glove before applying the phantom tag
to the runner’s back.

As the base umpire signaled out, I routed the ball to second base with a quick-release
forearm-wrist throw. The alert second baseman tagged the shocked runner: double play/end of
the inning/end of the game/end of the tournament.

The members of my team came storming off the field in celebration. The opposing team roared
at the umpire that I did not tag the runner. Fortunately, the base umpire, a man of integrity,
did not call what he did not see.

I was a bit stunned. I was seeking an explanation for the rapid-fire series of athletic game
interactions that allowed me to orchestrate the game’s final act. Since there was no instant
replay, no do-over, or re-enactment to guide me only later, did I detail the action
gameplay dynamics displayed on that long-ago summer day?
My summer league games were a competitive timeline fit. League games actuated competitive
mindset adaptions.

Q: Do I play to win the game or, do I play to win the play within the game? A: I trust that one
facilitates the other. Anyway, someone will keep score.

Q: Do I like team play or, do I like individual play? A: A combination of both, that is, individual
play within a team concept.

Q: Do I respond to individual competitors or, do I respond to the game itself? A: It does not
matter: The boiler inside me heats up once I step on the field of play.

SUN SHADOW

My self-activated sun shadow presented a visual guide to the development of a balanced golf
swing. I liked the idea but, the idea was flawed. The shadow of the sun became a sensory
visual dilemma that persists to this day.

In the backyard, I addressed the practice ball in a position that extended the sun down the
target line to provide a visual barrier that promoted a firm left side through impact.

Contemporaneously, I practiced addressing the ball with my shadow directly in front of me.
The location of the sun shadow provided a visual guide to help train a non-swaying balanced
swing.

The flaw is inescapable. The sun shadow falls in various positions during play that caused
perception irregularities impairing swing plane execution. It is a sensory visual dilemma.

To this day, I prefer to play on cloudy days.

Seeking a remedy, I framed the navigational map of the target line: Distant objects like a
tree, rock or a building served as visual cues aligned 90 degrees to the target line.

Guideline: (1) First, I observe an object in the distance that aligns (90 degrees) to the target line. (2) Then, I
extend the clubhead to the distant object. (3) Next, I set my feet accordingly. (4) Last, I maintain a 90°
alignment image throughout the swing process from the address position to the top of the backswing to
the downswing release through impact.

My alignment 90-degree rule helped the sun shadow problem and proved a useful remedial tool
to countermeasure random disorienting sightlines encountered on the golf course.

18
SIGHTLINES

A brick wall was the domain of various made-up rubber ball games. One day I utilized the brick
wall as a training aid. The sightline wall reinforced the alignment set-up and swing plane.

I liked the idea: However, the idea was ill-considered. The wall had created a false orientation
perception compared to reality.

A suitably shaped golf course presents many random disorienting sightlines. Mowing lines,
divots, fairway-rough lines, and tee box marker placements are sightlines that disrupt the
spatial perception of the golf shot at hand.

The response is a double-crossed oriented swing plane that compensates for the disparity
between perception and reality. In essence, a peripheral vision disparity had created false
orientation dual-target directionality.

Mind-body reaction to the disparity between perception and reality is alarming. Subconscious
computational dynamics are at or below critical levels in real-time performance. It is a
dilemma.

Guideline: I have constructed a motor imagery system to shield myself from external disturbances. In time, I
developed an inner sense of feel awareness direction that serves as a firewall to neutralize interfering visual
disturbances, target directionality, and false orientation perceptions.

Perception must match reality.

Today, once set, (1) alignment procedure completed (2) internal, visual-motor shield switched
on (3) target sightline framed fixed (4) target distance internally processed: I stop looking at the
target.

19
20°OFFSET

In addition to intrinsic positional sight line distortion, I possess a natural spatial awareness
distortion that produces a ball flight pattern 20 degrees to the right of the target regardless of
address position.

To counteract a ball flight pattern that is 20° degrees right of the target line, I needed to
re-calibrate my body positioning to correspond to the correct alignment.

Perception must match reality. I needed a subconscious effort as well as a conscious effort to
succeed.

One day an idea manifested itself in the form of right-hand rotation.

Guideline: The space between my index finger and my little finger will measure my spatial distortion
dilemma. I rotate my hand counterclockwise until the little finger points down the shaft. My perception is a
rotation slightly to the left.

20
PAROXYSM

I was shocked. An alarming hand paroxysm had appeared unexpectedly. Simultaneous in

motion, I endured a left-hand clockwise rotation and a right-hand counterclockwise rotation
the instant before impact that kindled a fast freeze, traumatic, tension tight, gridlock. I was in
serious trouble.

I needed a remedial action plan: First, I discarded the interlocking grip. Second, I tried the
overlapping grip, the reverse overlapping grip, and the ten-fingered grip. Third, I explored
various grip pressure points from the fingers to the palms and I tested separating my hands
at different lengths. The ten-fingered palm grip worked well. Intermittent spasms
resurfaced but faded in time.

Guideline: Sedulously seeking relief, I perceptually suppressed neural memory access to my disruptive
spasmodic fingers. Furthermore, I enabled a mental discipline idea to induce the cells in my arms and
shoulders to swell. Real or imagined, I stimulated fluids inside each cell to flow outward in all directions
generating a supple, relaxed feel.

A strategic mindset is the consistent application to (1) create valued ideas, (2) allocate
resources and abilities, (3) produce action strategies that implement creative ideas to solve a
problem.

23
Motor Memory

Once I considered that potent motor memory dynamics linked to my past extensive athletic
endeavors were (1) mismatched athletically action coordinated and (2) readily activated: I
reasoned cause, effect, and remedy.

1) I learned to suppress my strong motor memory tendency to cock my right wrist. The
cocked right wrist was, in part, responsible for a divergent swing path through impact.

2) My hat bill measures my strong motor memory tendency to lift my head vertically
during the backswing. The slightest vertical lift during the backswing sets in motion a
divergent swing path. My hat bill provides a method to monitor head lift.

3) I was perplexed and annoyed observing divots that slanted decidedly left of the target
line. The release of the cocked right wrist was, in part, to blame. In addition, a strong
motor memory tendency to open my shoulders to the target at impact was also
responsible. My hat bill centers my shoulders to the target line.

Suitably shaped, my backyard practice golf swing through thick blade grass provides a means
to monitor any residual discordant motor memory evidenced by impact torque accelerated

TETRAHEDRON

Time and time again, I have experienced a feel sensation communication process in action.
As I was contemplating a feeling of success relating to pre-swing form, a feel sensation
information bundle surged into conscious awareness. In a flash, the information bundle
transcribed a triangle.

The triangle, in time, evolved into a tetrahedron that enveloped the pre-swing stance. The four
vertices are in place at the address position: (1) One vertex on the ground anchors the
clubhead at the address position. (2) One vertex anchors the projected rotational swing arc at
the top of the backswing. (3) The two vertices on the ground, behind me, anchor the target line.

The line from the clubhead vertex to the top tetrahedron vertex above and behind my head
shaped a proficient body rotation. The tetrahedron side faces promoted a feeling of balance
while the triangular back face stabilized my back. The triangular face on the ground indicated
a 90-degree alignment to the target line.

Pleased and delighted, I became immersed in the process of constructing the tetrahedron from
the original triangle. However, now, the tetrahedron resides deep within the confines of my
subconscious mind to be resurrected by (feel) awareness alone.

28
PENDULUM

Time and time again, I have experienced a feel sensation communication comparable to a film
coming to life as it develops in a chemical tray of developing fluid.

One day, as I addressed the ball, a subconscious superimposed feel awareness image of a
free-swinging weighted steel pendulum bubbled up into my word descriptive conscious mind.

A swinging pendulum exhibits a measure of tempo, rhythm, and timing that is precise and
free-flowing. I visualized and applied the movement characteristics of the weighted pendulum
to the anticipated swing of the golf club.

I became immersed in the process of constructing the pendulum rationale. Now, the pendulum
rationale resides deep within the confines of my subconscious mind only to be resurrected by

32
Swing Mechanics

The laboriously detailed process of learning the golf game fundamentals triggered a plethora of
swing correction thoughts. Touring the golf course, I was checking down an ever-expanding list
of well-known swing corrections endeavoring to improve my game. In essence, I was
fixing on the run. Indeed, I learned one swing component at a time.

Guideline: In sequential order, (1) the first step involved the mechanics of the swing component assimilated
into the swing package. (2) The second step monitored the physical aspects of the swing component:
activated muscles, tendons, and ligaments stretched. However, that stretched feeling quickly faded,
extending to retain that stretched feel proved to be a recurring problem, consequently, steps three and
four. (3) The third step involved replacing the stretched feel with an awareness motor feel that
accompanied the performance of the swing component. (4) The fourth step necessitated executing the
swing element by (feel) awareness alone.

Learning a swing component seemed paramount at the time. Later on, the swing component
slipped into the background, therefore, displaying its value as a small part of the whole.

Guideline: The operative word is simplicity. Subconscious feel sensations tempo, rhythm, and timing are
engaged to regulate swing mechanism execution. Conscious directives inhibited.

33
The “Flying” Elbow

On a warm summer day, I arrived on the first tee. An experienced teacher supervised a lesson.
I was fourteen. In short order, I placed a handkerchief between my right bicep and side as an
instructional correction aid. In silence, the lesson progressed onward. At the par-three eighth,
on impulse, I quietly decided to extend my right elbow. My teacher immediately admonished
my efforts. I have executed the right elbow correction lesson until now.

(1) I am tapping my elbows to my body at the address position. (2) I am standing square to the
target line. (3) I am pressing my left bicep to my chest. (4) I am extending my lumbar spine
forward to activate a neural proprioception swing speed center. (5) I am bending my wrists and
hands down at address as the wrist muscles elongate down. (6) I am positioning the golf shaft
perpendicular to the target at address. (7) I am engaging an up and out lift to the clubhead. (8)
I am reducing my hip rotation on the backswing. (9) I am extending my right elbow away from
my body on the backswing while stretching upward with my left arm. (10) I am rotating my left
wrist throughout the length of the backswing. (11) I am rotating my hands and arms around
my body to increase swing path distance on the backswing.

Guideline: I engage a slight timing pause at the top of the (upright) backswing. The (right) elbow transitions
straight down to my (right) side as the left wrist rotates passively clockwise. The "laid-off” golf shaft creates
an inside the target line downswing release to impact.

Guideline: The elongated down hands and wrists at address respond with a free and fluid motion from the
address /set/ throughout the re-entry /set/ that positions the hands and wrists for the optimum re-route
/release/ through the impact area down the target line.

Guideline: The slight cocking and uncocking of the wrists elongate the hands down through impact.

Guideline: The perpendicular shaft at address allows the hands to rotate forward following forward press
ignition.

Guideline: Advantageous right leg load and release positioning provide needed structure, balance, and
stability.

Guideline: I observe a pre-swing rotation: (1) left palm rotates clockwise to target (2) left thumb pointing
down (3) hollow of the left elbow rotates counterclockwise over and up. I am pre-swing ignition ready.

34
I developed a unique move that fills a final role before swing ignition that provides
advantageous body positioning, relaxed feel, and enhanced ball strike release.

Guideline: Before swing ignition, I engage (1) shoulders up (2) small of back bowed-in and (3) legs down.
Consequently, the clubhead lifts up and out. The clubhead weight elongates my arms and wrists downward
into an ideal pre-swing position that facilitates a downswing re-focus impact zone eye sweep.

I affirm. A straight /long drive/ down the fairway or a target line controlled flight pattern to the
pin is a problem. The problem is one of perspective, impression, and interpretation. It is a
mindset issue.

Guideline: I have adopted a drive control discipline that affirms ball flight pattern limitations.

Guideline: I have applied a drive distance discipline that affirms ball flight distance limitations.

Guideline: I have embraced a distance loss discipline that affirms distance loss limitations.

Keywords trigger memory retrieval.

Guideline: Approaching the tee box: (1) I practice a self-made inflected accelerated air pitched sound and
(2) I visualize a free-spinning wheel. Sound and image will support swing tempo, timing, and rhythm
visualization.

Swing path visualization and spatial orientation awareness is an essential swing drill practice.

Guideline: I stand square to the target. I drop my right foot back 16 inches to visualize an inside to outside
swing path. I execute a half-swing: next, I square the stance to the target. The inside-to-outside swing path
becomes established.

Guideline: (1) Tapping elbows /set/ to the body triggers swing ignition, (2) Rotating left wrist /set/ to max
completes the backswing, and (3) Rotating the right elbow /release/ to the right side are swing orientation
subconscious checkpoints that anchor swing path visualization awareness.

Guideline: Swing mechanics lessons provide approximations of proper swing form. Consequently, swing
mechanics approximations learned need to be adapted to golf course conditions shaping strategic swing
alignment and producing precise swing adjustments.

Guideline: I trust the stimulus of competition delivers a rush of sustained adrenaline, intense focus, and
heightened agile awareness that supports intrinsic competitive vitality and composure.

35
Swing Plane

In time, I progressively suppressed wrist manipulation |•bending •cocking •rolling| to achieve

a more consistent |•rotating wrists| swing plane.

My mind-body ability to make solid contact with a moving baseball or softball is an

advantageous skill set that is not needed, or is it? I decided to lift the clubhead up and out,
creating a moving ball motor memory visual illusion.

I transformed my single plane swing into a more natural and efficient two-plane swing.

STEP (1)

I engaged a very upright backswing plane to lengthen my swing path.

STEP (2)

The retroactive “flying” elbow supports backswing length and provides a power position to aid
downswing release.

STEP (3)

An initial downswing power move /right elbow to side/ triggers a motor memory response that
alters swing plane release to impact.

STEP (4)

My motor memory moving ball visual illusion is a motor memory response that boosts power to
the swing path release.

36
STEP (5)

A grandfather clock resided in the hall next to my bedroom. I like grandfather clocks. I was
fascinated with the rhythm and timing of the pendulum as a child.

The pendulum serves as a motor memory visualization aid: (1) •anchor |to| shoulders (2)
•suspension |to| arms (3) •shaft |to| rod (4) • hands |to| couplings (5) •clubhead |to| bob.

The up and out position at address allows a forward and back movement of the clubhead
|bob| during swing ignition. I feel the rhythm and timing of the pendulum in motion.

37
Mindset

Indeed, my self-imposed long-running golf developmental process produced a complete golf

swing unit.

That was step one, now step two: transition from an analytical mindset to a spatial awareness
mindset.

In the past, I performed countless self-tossed practice sessions displaying progressive spatial
awareness swing approximations that efficiently produced consistent center hit softballs or
baseballs blissfully devoid of cognitive manipulation.

Consequently, the blueprint mental discipline that I seek exists within me.

Implementing a feel awareness mindset blueprint was the second step, now, the third step: to
sustain a mindset awareness shot after shot.

I learned to pitch a ball flight pattern that arched high with a right to left curve: a suburb blend
of ball flight control and distance for strikes. One day the umpire marked the batter’s boxes
with chalk while I was waiting to pitch. This pre-game bit of activity outlined the parameters
that targeted a strike behind the plate. I promptly walked the first two batters. That day and
that day forward, the ball flight pattern became my point of focus rather than the target behind
the plate.

Indeed, the ball flight’s spatial complexities provided the ball action visual display mindset
discipline I needed to throw strikes.

Once again, the blueprint mental discipline that I seek exists within me.

From my position as a pitcher, I fielded a slow roller between home plate and first base. The
runner was speeding up the line. I was shocked. My right hand locked into a fast freeze-grip: I
released a weak lob to the first baseman.

I was in trouble.

Both alarmed and exasperated, I engaged cause, effect, and remedy. I did not consider deep
subconscious performance trauma or performance repetitive movement breakdown as cause
and effect. In the end, I decided to substitute a dart throw technique instead of the sidearm
wrist-forearm throw technique. It worked.

38
Indeed, the dart throw created new neural pathways needed to complete the play. Did I bypass
existing mental blocks in my subconscious, or did I eliminate motor memory mental blocks
from my subconscious mind? I do not know.

However, I do know that athletic mental blueprint disciplines exist within me. I have the tools
to succeed.

The struggle to succeed in human athletic endeavors elicits thought processes embracing
performance, creating ways to excel competing with artistry and intellect, crystallizing into a
feeling of well-being and fulfillment.

I entered in the third inning and exited in the fifth inning. The mindset metamorphosis was
dramatic. The immediate response to my presence was a collective synch-up that spiked into a
confident mindset. My exit made a noticeable difference in game-action performance.

My solitary play endeavors provided early training: (1) to disregard outside stimuli and (2) to
remain uncoupled during game conditions. It became built-in.

Is the toss of a roll of brown wrapping paper up a flight of stairs relevant? Yes, it is.

A wordless flash of awareness swelled inside me as I approached the bottom of a 12-step

staircase.

My hand automatically grasped the seam midway on the paper roll to balance the anticipated
toss-up to a waiting pair of hands.

Pointing the roll at the target, I positioned the paper roll into the ready position to deliver a
pitch up the stairs.

My fingers and wrist imparted a rotational spin to turn the roll from vertical to horizontal into
the waiting hands at the top of the stairs in perfect placement.

The paper roll toss was an unrehearsed, unique, and relevant motor memory adaption.

A strategic mindset is the generation and channeling of creative insights into an action
plan to achieve a high skill level performance.

((F….F) + (A….A) + (E….E)) > CONFIDENCE (HARMONY)

(F) FUNDAMENTAL, (A) ANTICIPATION, AND (E) EXECUTION

My formula of words and symbols represents a complex set of athletic interactions that serves
as a visualization aid.

The left side represents the concept that fundamentals have a correlative mental image plan
plus a physical execution of that image plan. Furthermore, the right side represents confidence
multiplied by the level of harmony one feels on the field of play. The yield sign indicates a
progressive direction that connects the left side to the right side.

Guideline: The idea is that a proper blend of fundamentals, anticipation, and execution produces a precise
athletic movement that shapes a corresponding level of confidence and harmony on the playing field.

Keys

My intelligence through visual perception attends select processes to interact with neural
networks of information, experiences, and abilities creating knowledge that is readily activated.

1) Guideline: My athletic intelligence employs a wide-angle sweeping visual scan, anticipating

movements, triggered or spontaneous, before or during, creating a feel anticipation snapshot: The
key to everything athletic.

2) Guideline: Visual-motor imagery regulates intended movements by dialing through the various
motor processes forming a mental blueprint: The key to engaging swing speed max.

3) Guideline: Crossover information flows through a conduit between descriptive language and
motor awareness, buffering the translating and understanding of crisscrossing information. The
result is my intellect accommodates both the impression and descriptive interpretations of athletic
movements enabling direct neural memory access: The key to flawless execution.

Therefore, I construct internal representations by encoding verbal instructions into a visual-

spatial format that is calibrated and re-calibrated until perception matches reality.

SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

This visualization memory aid infographic represents the idea that action word descriptions
intermix with spatial feel sensations. In essence, a blueprint plan inside a “common gateway
interface” is mapped to anticipate and produce athletic movements.

Common Gateway Interface: I borrowed a term from computer science to explain how my
conscious and subconscious domains interact to produce intricate athletic movements.
The subconscious mind relies on pattern-matching, long-term memory, and instant judgment
to engage high-speed actions and reactions to mind-body spatial interactions.

A feel sensation communication process emanates inside a “common gateway interface” that
buffers the conscious and the subconscious level of feel awareness.

Subconscious spatial awareness language permeates a crossover region transcribing spatial

language into a word or phrase.

The “common gateway interface” enables the “in the zone” mode of operation actions to form,
expand, and flourish.

Guideline: To avoid confusion, conflict, and ineffectiveness, crisscrossing information from the conscious
level and the subconscious level is in a disciplined form.

46
Visual Spatial Intelligence

Visual-spatial imagery is the ability to detect, recognize, and analyze objects and motions in a
visual field.

Pulses of information energy radiating from integrated short-term memory networks engage
patterns and interactions on the athletic field in real time.

Visual-spatial imagery is a spatial awareness construction programmed to interact in real time.

The conscious and subconscious mind observes one’s orientation in space. Observations of
relevant visual stimuli become recorded in short-term memory.

The conscious and subconscious mind (1) classifies objects and motions in the environment
into states of relevant information, (2) stores relevant information in short-term memory, and
(3) compares all relevant information in long-term memory and short-term memory to generate
a prediction.

Memory recall is instant and accurate.

Step-by-step planning is selected and implemented during continuous dynamic changing

conditions on the field in real time.

Speed is essential.

Visual-spatial intelligence is a fluid intelligence that detects patterns from observations in

real-time action sequences to anticipate current play-by-play on the field interactions.

48
Flashpoint

I am in the flow. I can feel it. Massive cognitive neural network amplification has triggered a
sudden burst of electrically charged energy |flashpoint| creating a high-level conscious
perception awareness.

Short-term or long-term, real or imagined, I am in the zone.

The conscious mind broadcasts detailed information to subconscious cognitive processors

operating in parallel to form an impressive amalgamation that facilitates the transmission of
information to achieve the desired outcome.

The conscious mind understands and sends descriptive information to the subconscious mind.

The conscious mind is immersed in a flow to mobilize the many subconscious specialized
neural networks. Flow immersion is a feel-awareness operation. Flexible subconscious
information flows into a high-level conscious perception level.

The subconscious processors provide action-dynamic elements (1) memory recall (2)
visualization rehearsal communique (3) directional spatial map instructions (4) visual imagery
anticipation scenarios (5) consensus outcomes.

A high-level autonomous conscious perception awareness is full bi-directional projections as

messages propagate downward as much as upwards. Exchange messages are selected to
support a consensus interpretation suppressing alternative interpretations that do not fit.
Consensus interpretations are calibrated and re-calibrated to achieve the desired outcome.

So, am I able to manually turn on the switch?

No, I am not.

So, how do I cross over into a high-level conscious perception state?

I can speculate. It is a mindset issue.

So, again, how do I cross over?

I trust the natural process to self-actuate.

50
Mental Block

The visualization image below represents the bypass of inner core tension or resistance that is
the primary cause of power loss and inefficiency. The diagram serves as a visualization
communication spatial description that appeals to the mathematical subconscious level of
spatial feel awareness.

Rationale: Pockets of tension or resistance encountered interfere with the direct neural memory
access that permits the flawless execution of athletic movements. Resistance entails
mismatched motor memory dynamics, past failures, or spatial feel awareness uncertainties.

The shape of the blue oval represents resistance. The lines represent neural network access
pathways. The idea is to eliminate the destructive effects |pockets of resistance| that result in
power loss and inefficiency.

Image A represents the mental effort

to push through the resistance. The
result is a slowed and contaminated
product.

The image listed as B represents the

mental effort to bypass pockets of
resistance. The result is an
uninhibited flow of direct neural
memory communication.

(A) (B)

The above visualization exercise is a positive step. I endeavor to perform athletic movements
free from the crippling effects of tension. The resistance image above is a visualization tool of
value.

51
Spin Wheel Spin

Hand spinning a bicycle tire captivates the imagination. The visual display is charismatic.

The bicycle tire observation connected a spinning bicycle tire and a rotary athletic movement.
My athletic intelligence produced a visualization training aid that linked (1) the smooth
acceleration of a bicycle tire and (2) the smooth acceleration of a rotary athletic movement.

I needed to create a visualization aid to replace the spinning tire. I researched images of
spinning wheels: picture and graphic, simple and complex, single, and multiple. A cog-wheel
produced the desired response.

[SPIN-WHEEL-SPIN]

The cog-wheel color and bevel provide the depth perception that I value. The circle within a
circle provides a center of focus. The peripheral cogs display an orderly functional use.

I visualize the cog-wheel spinning as I engage in rotary athletic movements. Keywords |spin
wheel spin| provide a quick visualization memory aid.

I have responded well to images that serve as a visualization spatial description aid that
appeals to the mathematical subconscious level of spatial feel awareness.

It works for me.

52
Flow Cycle

Perpetual motion machines, once in motion, stay in motion. My observations inspired a

visualization rationale that transforms a time lag event sequence into a continuous flow of
events.

Rationale: Influential time intervals exist between individual action events. The idea is to create
a compressed time interval illusion: Individual action events blend into a flow cycle sequence. A
continuous motion flow process preserves a constant flow of individual action events illusion.

Pleased and delighted, I have constructed a flow cycle rationale from a perpetual motion idea
that, now, resides within the confines of my subconscious mind only to be resurrected by (feel)
awareness alone.

FLOW (CYCLE)

53
Immersion

It reaches deep into my subconscious mind. I can feel it.

The image above represents a subconscious process to activate a zone conversion operation.

Performance components merge to achieve immersion performance.

The goal is to remain in the zone to sustain optimal performance.

The struggle I experience in athletic endeavors emanates from entering in-and-out of

immersion performance. Re-enter strategies activated, de-activated, and re-activated vary in
duration and intensity.

The scheme is that I manage a zone conversion operation through subconscious operations.

I relate well to the infographic images that I have constructed. I relate to this one. It feels
right.

54
Biorhythms

The idea is that biorhythm cycles coordinate to influence athletic performance.

Biorhythm cycles synchronize to engage information, perception, and memory to enable readily
activated action coordinated movements.

In theory, biorhythm cycles amplitude and duration measurements are random.

Random biorhythmic cycles converge to peaks and valleys that support random pattern
mind-body relationships.

In The Zone

Yes, I know. I am chasing a motor awareness feel that is elusive and attainable.

It is a paradox.

I divided the process into ten distinct components. Also, there are various mind-body cycles
and various random on, off, and refresh buttons to consider.

It is a puzzle.

ABSORPTION

I am absorbed in the game. Nothing outside exists. Furthermore, once there, I feel I have
always been there.

Total absorption is an asset.

AUTOTELIC

An autotelic immersion performance has a purpose in itself. It is internal, autonomous, and

independent. Indeed, solitary play can be as rewarding as group play.

I am a process person.

Autotelic is a descriptive word that fits.

Solitary play is an autotelic means of expression that I embrace. It is a blessing.

Autotelic is an asset.

ANTICIPATION

I am a thoughtful |problem-solving| perceptive person. My spatial feel awareness skills are

polished to a high level. Yes, I know. |Still| waters run deep.

Moment-to-moment anticipation, real or imagined, triggered or spontaneous, creates a feel

anticipation blueprint to follow.

Anticipation is an asset.

57
BALANCE

To be considered is a balance on the scale between intensity and tranquility in day-to-day

game action.

There are also random biorhythmic mind-body balance cycles to be considered.

It is a work in progress.

CONTROL

As communication and understanding permeate fluid boundaries, the information flow

process, fluctuating in strength and influence, is shaped.

At times I have engaged an efficient subconscious kinetic energy flow free from conscious
control interference. Other times conscious control interferes with the information process.

It is a work in progress.

FLOW

Flow interruptions, peaks, and valleys boggle my mind.

Could biorhythms, mind-body relationships, and energy flow cycles be the answer?

Where is the on, off, or refresh button?

I think I know, but I am not sure.

It is a work in progress.

FOCUS

One’s skilled performance is paramount to one’s well-being. I like to concentrate on the task at
hand. To be free from outside disturbances is superb.

Focus is an asset.

58
IMMERSION

The game itself is the center of attention, not I.

Immersion is an asset.

TEMPO

Sometimes I feel that mind-body movements are seamless and effortless without tension or
resistance. Other times there is a resistance or tension dilemma.

It is a work in progress.

TIME

Time transformation is a universal effect of flow. In one time frame, time passes quickly, but in
another time frame, time slows down. This transformation of time is a natural occurrence.

In The Zone: I am chasing a motor awareness feel that is elusive and attainable. Is there a
way to solve this performance enigma? I promise I will try.

59
In The Zone

Yes, I know, I am chasing a motor awareness feel that is both elusive and attainable.

60
Meditation

DESCRIPTIONS

Meditation is a contemplation, introspection, and training technique to (1) develop awareness

and attention abilities, (2) attain a calm state of mind, (3) produce a deep state of relaxation
and tranquil mind, and (4) concentrate focus on an object, sound, or visualization in the
present moment.

Mindfulness: One’s state of awareness is focused on the present moment, calmly accepting
one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations in the surrounding environment.

Self-hypnosis is a process to self-induce a hypnotic state of mind that effectuates focused

attention and self-suggestion to facilitate an intention.

Visualization is a visual representation of a concept, object, or situation. A set of information is

transcribed in a graph, chart, or image to create images, diagrams, and animation to
communicate and understand abstract and concrete ideas.

Mindset is a set of assumptions, methods, and notations that form a point of view or a state of
mind to prepare for an upcoming participating event. A mindset design based on prior choices,
behaviors, and skills leads to a fixed state of mind. However, a flexible mindset is needed to be
successful.

61
INTERPRETATIONS

One’s purpose in mediation is to obliterate the distinction between the meditative state and the
post-meditative state. The idea is that traits persist outside of the meditative experience. To
transform the baseline of the mind during long-term mediation practices is to transition the
post-meditative state of mind.

Questions: (1) Is the degree of clarity and stability in balance? (2) Is the object, visual, or sound
sensation selected real or imagined? (3) Are breathing techniques used or not, are eyes open or
not? (4) Is meditation constant or intermittent real or dream-like? (5) Is the post-meditation
altered cognition, behavioral, and emotional state of mind a benefit?

Visualization: (1) Emotions, attention, and introspection are trained and polished in long-term
mediation endeavors, (2) The mind is malleable to experiences designed to change the brain
structure, (3) Mental images are clear or sharpened through mediation practice, (4) Meditative
discipline training strengthens the subjective visualization experience, (5) Neural impulses flow
in channels throughout the meditative mind to measure the stability/intensity ratio and the
tranquil/alert ratio in balance.

Meditation provides many benefits to the willing and devoted participant: (1) Intense pleasure
and joy are possible. (2) Inner clarity is a benefit. (3) A more subtle sense of well-being and
happiness is an asset. (4) The mind is purified to become a bright and steady influence.

POSSIBILITIES

Mediation drill practice advances skill level awareness abilities, improves a balance of intensity
and stability, safeguards a relaxed state, and trains the conscious mind to avoid outside
distractions and inside interference in post-meditative endeavors.

Meditation techniques produce a controlled sense of free movement that dampens resistance or
tension. Mind-body interactions become fluid in motion. The mind sweeps away distractions,
actuates inner core tension release, and creates clarity.

The visualization of energy flowing free quiets the mind centers the body and touches one’s
inner being. Benefits include: (1) a distinctive and reproducible mental state, (2) acquisition of
cognitive, emotional, and physical traits, (3) progression in visualization abilities, and (4)
augment focus, control, and concentration.

Mindfulness is the practice of focusing one’s attention |moment by moment| observing all
aspects of the surrounding world and one’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions without judgment.

Rewiring the neuroplasticity of the brain is a revelation. One’s thinking changes from thoughts

Self-Hypnosis

Self-hypnosis is meditation with a definite goal or end-point in mind.

Motivation, intelligence, application of suggestions, and due diligence are perquisites to

successful self-hypnosis meditation. Faith, hope, belief, and conviction are cornerstones to
success. Words are considered communication building blocks.

Self-hypnosis is a natural process presented countless times in one’s experience.

In the hypnotic state, suggestions are accepted without judgment and lead to new behaviors
and attitudes.

A light state of hypnosis can produce results and a deeper hypnotic state. A suggestion is a
high-impact tool to gain control. An auto-suggestion placed in the post-hypnotic state leads to
results in future endeavors.

Proprioception

(1) Proprioception is a subconscious level neural access to a movement or position originating

in the muscles, tendons, and joints.

(3) Key mental abilities are orientation, navigation, and inhibition.

I am alert and open to (feel) awareness perception. Energy and information flow provide
clarity/depth/detail. My decision-making adjustments and adaptions are short-term and
long-term without judgment or expectations. Mind-body movements exhibit control and
balance. Efficient tempo and movement speed are enabled. Kinetic energy and information flow
free from conscious interference.

(2) Self-organization is a natural subconscious integration process that produces intricate

athletic movements. (1) Is there a built-in blueprint? (2) Is there an on-off switch? (3) Is there a
set of instructions to shape self-organization?

Implicit memory experiences interconnect in the performance of a task without conscious

awareness of these experiences. It is a spontaneous occurrence. Peaks and valleys are the
results.

(3) A procedural blend |•knowledge •experience •confidence •harmony| subconscious

memory process achieves a self-regulating turn-key blueprint that monitors and modulates the
mind-body continuum.

69
4) I have a sense that experience repeats itself. Time maps embodied and embedded in neural
network layers intertwine past, present and future. Prior experience imagery recall
interconnects awareness anticipation scenarios to shape and re-shape complex athletic
movements in real-time performance.

I am impressed.

70
Synchronicity

DESCRIPTIONS

Neural synchronicity is the rhythmic or repetitive patterns of neural activity in the central
nervous system.

Neural entrainment synchronizes internal brainwave frequencies to match brainwave

frequencies in a shared environment.

Neural oscillations are repetitive electrochemical brainwaves detailed in phase, amplitude, and
frequency.

Neural network spiking utilizes pulse-coded signals to form spike train neural networks.

Quantum nonlocality is an instant correlation between entangled systems.

INTERPRETATIONS

Brain-to-brain synchronicity is dependent on dynamic social interaction: (1) audio-visual input,

(2) brainwave lock-in abilities, and (3) shared social intensity and closeness.

(1) Neural field spiking enables specific neural network activation. (2) A spike stimulus’s
self-sustained oscillations in neural network entrainment are phase-locked into motor
coordination action. (3) A lock-in or lock-out coupling measures the correlation or
synchronization of autonomous self-sustained neural network oscillations.

The input-output creation process seeks patterns and information sensitive to the
environment. The input-output process synchronizes environmental information to reinforce
information flow performance.

Intrinsic brain processes are sensitive and interconnected to the quantum nonlocality universe.
The interconnected entanglement in the quantum world directs the enfolding and unfolding
quantum process. Feedback loop coupling and uncoupling select relevant information and
reject irrelevant information.

POSSIBILITIES

(1) The input-output creation process seeks patterns and information. Brainwave oscillations
are detected. Performance interaction is neutral.

(2) Interconnected brainwave entanglement directs the enfolding and unfolding quantum
process. Brain oscillations are detected. Performance interaction is dependent.

(3) Feedback loop coupling and uncoupling select the relevant and eliminate the irrelevant.
Brain oscillations are detected and blocked. Performance interaction is independent.

71

Intrinsic Vision Distortion

Wow! One day I experienced an intense vertigo episode. Day and night vertigo episodes
continued for the next three weeks. I was fortunate that vertigo during daytime activities
diminished in time. However, in bed, I continued to experience episodic vertigo for months. I
needed a miracle. The miracle presented itself in the form of a physical therapy referral. It was
a revelation. Physical therapy eye exercises expeditiously stopped episodic vertigo
manifestations in bed. I was surprised. A simple but effective eye movement exercise had saved
the day. Amazing!

I have experienced inner ear positional vertigo, migraine-associated vertigo, motion sickness,
double vision, imbalanced motor movement, and disorientated feelings in the last 30 years.

Is there a correlation between vision and spatial alignment orientation? And will vertigo
treatment exercises alleviate spatial-visual alignment orientation problems?

Binocular vision dysfunction is an orbital convergence insufficiency that expedites alignment,

balance, and coordination difficulties. Double vision is an extreme episodic manifestation.
Orbital misalignment is vertical or horizontal, or both as the sight-line of one eye and the
sight-line of the other eye do not converge. Divergent slight lines make it difficult for the eyes to
work together.

Eye movement and eye relaxation exercises are treatment tools to remediate binocular
convergence insufficiency.

Rotational eye movements remediate vertigo as well as spatial balance and coordination.

Vision therapy improves the essential visual skills needed to remediate spatial alignment
orientation problems.

I trust there is a correlation between vision and spatial alignment orientation. Implementing
day-to-day vision treatments to solve vision convergence problems is a remedial tool to solve
spatial alignment orientation problems.

IN THE ZONE

Time and time again, I have encountered an immersion experience on the playing field.

In the first person, I am the one in action. In the third person, I am the one in observation.

The ultimate experience is a subconscious immersion phenomenon that embodies a first and
third-person experience. The conscious mind relinquishes direct control of action movements. I
am both aware and unaware.

Is it an out-of-body experience? No, but it feels that way.

76
Parallel Processing

Multiple memory coding systems integrate patterns of sensory and motor input information
into visual representations and computations that form an intricate pattern of action
directives.

Kinetic depth, mobile agents, and peripheral approximations combine time sequence scenes
into a visual-spatial information map. Speed and accuracy detect, localizing, and processing
relevant information facilitates performance.

The computation process integrates multiple sensory and motor details. Sensory and motor
input information updates the computation process. Navigational parameters, temporal
intervals, and rule-based interactions guide integrated decision-making options to formulate
movement actions.

My position, movement actions, and a sensory internal spatial map will complete the memory
model computation process. My attention shifts across modalities to quickly evaluate spatial
patterns. Swift and flexible actions mesh together to engage movement action directives.

The perception process applies various updated memory models to organize incoming sensory
and motor information into a real-time spatial multidimensional blueprint.

Frame by frame, real-time spatial-temporal information is shaped and re-shaped through

anticipated scenario interactions. Visual attention computation delays movement action
execution. Action-reaction time intervals are present.

Anticipated sequential spatial-temporal action frames circumvent computation delay time

intervals. Calibrated and re-calibrated anticipated action directives support reaction-time
reduction. Quick reaction time experiences to action stimuli indicate reduced action-reaction
time intervals.

Quick decision-making action movements on a performance level are vital. Moment by

Crisscross

Conscious and subconscious processing systems control coordinated athletic action

movements. The conscious mind is intentional, analytic, slow, and quickly changed. The
subconscious mind is automatic, holistic, fast, and resistant to change.

The interactions between the two parallel systems are bi-directional. Reactions to
environmental stimuli are conscious controlled, or subconscious controlled, or a mixture of
both.

Conscious and subconscious processing systems are parallel and interactive. Information
crisscrosses throughout both systems to solve action movements. The conscious mind solves
problems in a logical descriptive manner. The subconscious mind engages automated motor
movement control.

The conscious mind operates through verbal abstract symbols and words to map strategies,
scenarios, and techniques. The subconscious mind identifies, interprets, and stores
environmental cues outside conscious awareness.

control elicits emotional responses that interfere with performance.

Crisscross

Incoming sensory driven information is continuously swirling, mixing, and blending to

map spatial navigation.

81
Interlinked

The idea is that communication is interlinked regardless of distance, motion, or location is

puzzling, provocative, and appealing.

Incoming sensory information, instant memory retrieval, and virtual anticipation projections
are cross-correlated to produce moment-by-moment action coordinated movements.

Incoming sensory signals interlink internal cognitive cellular communication systems to

produce virtual images flowing concurrently in time.

Encoded and decoded memories are interlinked and cross-correlated to form energy patterns
that crisscross throughout the brain regardless of distance and location.

(1) External real-time motion and internal virtual image motion coexist in perceptual feel
awareness, (2) Virtual anticipation projections are instant knowledge of the next moment in
time, (2) Projections provide action movement scenarios.

Sensory information, memory retrieval, and virtual anticipation projections produce

moment-by-moment action movement responses.

Spontaneous Imagination
Control SPONTANENOUS

Spontaneous imagination is an
effortless and surprising occurrence.
An impulse, stimulus, or inclination
produces powerful feelings, thoughts, COGNITIVE
and image sequences that dominate
the senses, awareness, and
concentration abilities.

(Spontaneous) imagination control is IMAGINATION

a conscious in-control direction
process to initiate, guide, and
terminate image sequence scripts.

Spontaneous imagination is an CONTROL

adaptive functional subconscious
mechanism that blends relevant
knowledge and unrelated concepts to
form scenario sequences that create
novel solutions.

The conscious mind screens ideas.

The creative mind embraces the duel process subconscious and conscious mode of operations
to solve a problem, a dilemma, or a puzzle.

(Spontaneous) imagination visualization and cognitive control processes spawn modes of

creative interplay that are short-term and long-term in duration.

Cognitive visualization involves (1) a problem-solving idea, (2) a detailed preparation plan, (3) a
disciplined short-term or long-term incubation period, and (4) a verification sequence
visualization scenario.

Short-term and short-term incubation build on past subconscious scenario sequences to solve
a problem.

(Spontaneous) imagination control is problematic: (1) Open one’s eyes visualization sequence
disappears. (2) One’s conscious interference disrupts the visualization sequence. All is lost.

Projecting non-interference conscious directives is a complex and elusive endeavor. Silent

thought commands are essential. Non-interference visual conscious directives and
subconscious imagination sequences form a productive unit.

The dual cognitive process blends subconscious feel language visualization and a silent
conscious stimulus command to produce a visual imagination sequence that explores ideas
and solutions.

84
Strategic Insight

A strategic mindset is the generation and channeling of creative insights into an action
plan to achieve a high skill level performance on the field of play.

DESCRIPTIONS

The motor cortex plans, controls, and executes voluntary motor processes.

Beta oscillations or brainwaves are rhythmic patterns of neural activities in the central nervous
system.

Muscle fibers are structural cells that contract in response to a stimulus.

INTERPRETATIONS

Is anticipation the key to movement max, or is a series of efficient “clutches” the answer, or are
fast-twitch muscles the key?

Design patterns or strategies: Processing, storing, copying, organizing, accessing, and

correcting information are on speed dial.

Quick first step action: (1) Spatial awareness and visualization abilities rev up the motor in
anticipation of the next series of movements. (1) Neural ”clutches” are activated. (3) Motor and
transmission actions and reactions are connected.

A series of efficient “clutches” is a difference-maker to a quick first step. (1) The motor cortex
plans or anticipates a movement. (2) Motor cortex signals in the form of beta oscillations
maintain a disengaged movement action. Beta oscillations are analogous to the automobile
clutch that engages a motor and transmission. (3) The motor cortex stops sending beta
oscillation signals to engage in movement activities.

Rapid-fire neurons produce explosive or bursts of movement action. (1) Sensory information
locates the target, (2) The motor cortex plans a movement (3) Motor neurons send messages to
the muscles, (4) Sensory receptors send messages to the brain motor cortex in a feedback loop
to correct errors, (5) Movement errors are corrected.

86
POSSIBILITIES

Spatial awareness visualization abilities, rapid-fire neural connections, and muscle fiber type
are major factors that produce a quick first step. Many possible combinations outline the
possible performance levels of the well-conditioned and experienced athlete.

Spatial awareness visualization, efficient neural connections, and fast-twitch muscle fibers
produce quick reactions.

One’s training experience is a performance factor. (1) The ratio of type one fast-twitch and
slow-twitch fibers are inborn. (2) Type two muscle fibers trained to engage in fast-paced
activities evolve into fast-twitch.

Childhood running games train the muscle fibers to effectuate a fast-twitch performance.

Swing Drill Practice

(1) Age-related play limitations diminished my opportunities to generate deep breathing. I

needed to activate a deep breathing routine. Today, I am the pilot of a well-developed, tension
dampening, deep breathing routine that I refresh throughout the day.

(2) I follow a set routine on a lush practice green next to the tenth hole on the back nine. I start
putting a few balls at various distances concentrating on feedback feel. Yes, I do aim.

(3) Next, I have three different chipping techniques I practice. Again it is the feel of the ball on
the clubface that is important. Yes, I dial-in distance.

(4) Next, I half-swing and full-swing through dense grass. One or two practice swings suffice.
My focus is the feel of the swing. The thick blade grass provides a means to monitor impact
torque acceleration sound, ball strike release visualization, and target sightline perception.

Upon arrival at the first tee, l stand ready, waiting for that sudden expeditiously direct flow of
anticipated impact that sends a golf ball to its destination.

Guideline: My athletic intelligence employs a wide-angle sweeping visual scan, anticipating movements,
triggered or spontaneous, before or during, creating a feel anticipation snapshot: the key to everything
athletic.

A motion or the anticipation of movement is the key to feeling the body athletic. Consequently:
I stay in motion, first, swinging the club back and forth with an oily wrist action motion, then,
second, performing a half-swing or two through dense grass noting sound and feel. I am ready.

Guideline: Visual-motor imagery regulates intended movements by dialing through the various motor
processes forming a mental blueprint: the key to engaging swing speed max.

Guideline: Approaching the tee box: (1) I practice a self-made inflected accelerated air pitched sound, and
(2) I visualize a free-spinning wheel. Sound and image will support swing tempo, timing, and rhythm
visualization.

As I finish framing a square stance over the ball, my wide-angle visual eye scan anticipates the
swing path of the clubhead through the impact area.

My right foot square position at the address position helped maintain (right) leg integrity,
ensure proper body coil, and prevent extraneous body movement.

My knees are locked inward at the address position to ensure proper knee position on the
backswing and the downswing.

91
Guideline: Advantageous right leg load and release positioning provide needed structure, balance, and
stability.

The drop step is a variation of the square stance depending on the level of a lie, ball location,
and comfort. Selectively, I slide the squared right foot back, supporting a left leg load and
release, or I drop the squared left foot back to support a right leg load and release. The drop
step positioning compensates left knee and lower back issues.

(5) My alignment procedure is completed: my internal visual, motor shield switched on: the
target line fixed framed and the target distance internally processed: I press forward to engage
swing ignition.

(6) Due to back surgery and diminishing body elasticity, I have suffered a drastic loss of
distance. In cold weather play, I experienced an additional distance loss.

Guideline: I have a distance loss discipline that affirms ball flight distance limitations.

A skilled shot that carries so far and no farther, I accept.

Guideline: The idea is that a proper blend of fundamentals, anticipation, and execution produces a precise
athletic movement that shapes a corresponding degree of confidence and harmony on the playing field.

93
Swing Path

Swing path execution takes a bit of work and. There is much to be done before swing ignition.

Inside the “on-deck circle”: I practice a half-swing that sweeps through the sod. I observe
the accelerated swing path throughout the impact area. Simultaneously, I hear the brushing
of the grass that produces the sound of the accelerated swing path through the impact area.

Sight and sound visualization aids facilitate impact zone anticipation dynamics.

94
My “on-deck circle” practice is complete. Next, I approach the ball.

(1) I view the target from a position behind the ball. I visualize the sightline. As I walk to the
address area, I finger-draw the sightline noting a distinguishing spot 1 to 3 inches distance in
front of the ball.

(2) I bend forward: breathing deep, then, exhale. The difference is dramatic. Deep breathing
dampens inner core tension that slows downswing release.

(3) Next, I sight an object 90° to the target line. I set my feet accordingly.

(4) I execute my 20° alignment procedure: I rotate my hand counterclockwise until the little
finger points down the shaft. My perception is a rotation slightly to the left.

(5) Next, I lift my body upward. Concurrently, shoulders rise, lower back arches inward,
clubhead rises, and wrists elongate down.

It seems a bit complicated in written form, but practice makes it routine.

My recently constructed pre-shot routine component, body lift, creates a pre-set kinesthesis
foundation that supports a free-flowing swing release performance.

The lifting of my shoulders sets in motion a corresponding lift of the grounded clubhead. The
driver lifts 4 inches and 3 inches out. The lift measurements are progressively less throughout
the club set.

My eyes refocus onto the lifted clubface above the ground. I feel the weight of the clubhead as
my wrists and forearms slightly elongate down. A rotational forward press ignites swing
ignition.

Backswing to downswing transition enables my hands and wrists to rotate clockwise,

re-routing the swing path. I have refocused my eyes onto the ball position on the ground.

Yes, the operative word is natural. The body lift is a feel natural technique. The re-routed swing
path and the refocused impact zone eye sweep is a revelation.

Could a re-routed swing path and a refocused eye sweep be a motor memory key to swing
speed max?

Indeed, it could.
The body-lift pre-shot component provides advantageous body positioning, relaxed feel, and
enhanced ball strike release.

96
Octogenarian

(1) I quietly experienced a milestone birth date that was both seamless and profound. In
essence, a time passage crossover signaled the beginning of a super senior final fit. Indeed, the
super senior permissive translocation to the forward tees proved an excellent drive distance
option.

I am pleased. I have suppressed my compulsion to hit distant drives. The harmful effects of
superfluous wrist manipulation, excessive backswing extension, and swing speed
intensification have diminished. I am delighted.
(2) Mental discipline empowers “in the zone” operations to form, expand, and flourish. To
produce the desired results, my swing mechanics must be in order.

Guideline: Swing mechanics lessons provide approximations of proper swing form. Consequently, swing
mechanics approximations learned need to be adapted to the golf course conditions shaping precise
swing alignment and strategic swing adjustments.

My alignment 90-degree rule remediated the sun shadow problem and proved a tool to
remediate random lines, angles, and sightlines. Nevertheless, to be swing-ready, the alignment
I feel in my mind must correspond to what I see on the ground.

Guideline: I have constructed a motor imagery system to shield myself from external disturbances. In time, I
developed an inner sense of feel awareness direction that serves as a firewall to neutralize interfering visual
disturbances, target directionality, and false orientation perceptions.

I need to maintain swing integrity. Mindset blueprint disciplines do exist within me. I have the
tools to succeed.

Guideline: The operative word is simplicity. Subconscious feel sensations tempo, rhythm, and timing are
engaged to regulate swing mechanism execution. Conscious directives inhibited.

97
(3) One summer day, my playing partner was a man nineteen years to my senior. A quick
examination suggested a natural athlete. We toured the back nine together on that hot July
afternoon, demonstrating focus and steady speed of play.

(4) The winding, well-manicured fairways of the back nine offer topographically high and low
views of many impressive houses, beautifully landscaped lawns, and distant cattle farmland
hills and valleys. Tall wild grass, wooded areas, and grassy mounds surround the fairways. The
isolated fairways feature an open meadow bordered by a meandering creek.

(5) The midsummer heat registered 95°. That was fine with me. I like it hot. My octogenarian
playing partner was comfortable with the heat. Remarkable! Touring the back nine, we
displayed a form of competitive vitality that was natural, harmonious, and therapeutic.

Guideline: Crossover information flows through a conduit between descriptive language and motor
awareness, buffering the translating and understanding of crisscrossing information. The result is my
intellect accommodates both the impression and descriptive interpretations of athletic movements
enabling direct neural memory access: The key to flawless execution.

98
Keywords

(1) My equipment underscores aesthetics and practical use. I utilize traditional clubs trimmed
down to fit my swing path. I grip down a full inch and one-half. The distance between ball and
stance is directly proportional to solid ball contact, accurate ball flight, and maximum ball
distance.

(2) Time and time again, I have reconstructed the various components of my newly constructed
upright backswing to proper form by following a set of sequential steps.

Guideline: In sequential order, (1) the first step involved the mechanics of the swing component assimilated
into the swing package. (2) The second step monitored the physical aspects of the swing component;
activated muscles, tendons, and ligaments stretched.

99
(3) Keyword phrases provide a quick reference memory aid.

[90°RULE]

Guideline: (1) First, I observe an object in the distance that aligns (90 degrees) to the target line. (2) Then, I
extend the clubhead to the distant object. (3) Next, I set my feet accordingly. (4) Last, I maintain a 90°
alignment image throughout the swing process from the address position to the top of the backswing to
the downswing release through impact.

My alignment procedure works well on golf course fairways constructed to allow a target line to
flow straight to pin placement. My ball flight drive pattern is a fade. I target the center of the
fairway. Consequently, my fairway lie tends to be center or center-right. Pin placement on the
green left side disrupts the fairway flow target line. Harmony and confidence are course
management factors: (1) Follow the fairway flow to the right side of the green away from pin
placement, or (2) follow the more difficult fairway flow target line to the left side of the green
close to pin placement.

[20°OFFSET]

Guideline: The space between my index finger and my little finger will measure my spatial distortion
dilemma. I rotate my hand counterclockwise until the little finger points down the shaft. My perception is a
rotation slightly to the left.

The offset alignment procedure remediates the pin placement on the green side left that
disrupts the fairway flow target line to the right side of the green.

It is a unique remedial tool. It works for me.

[SET-SET-RELEASE]

Guideline: I engage a slight timing pause at the top of the (upright) backswing. The (right) elbow transitions
straight down to my (right) side as the left wrist rotates passively clockwise. The "laid-off” golf shaft creates
an inside-the-target line downswing release to impact.

The top of my backswing features the (right) elbow position up and out. The right elbow quickly
transitions to my right side at the beginning of the downswing to direct a “laid-off” shaft slot for
re-entry into the impact zone. Timing is critical.

100
[DRIVE DISTANT DRIVE]

Guideline: I have applied a drive distance discipline that affirms ball flight distance limitations.

My membership golf course provides a memory record of my tee-shot straight long drives. I
observe from the tee box visual spots on the fairway that locate my best straight or nearly
straight tee shots. It is detrimental to my swing tempo, timing, and rhythm to match my best
past efforts. I recognize the limits of my ability to hit the ball a straight length max. A skilled
driver shot from the tee box that travels so far and no farther, I accept.

[DRIVE DISTANT CONTROL]

Guideline: I have adopted a drive control discipline that affirms ball flight pattern limitations.

Membership par-3-pin placements provide a memory record of my scattered shot dispersal

pattern. It is detrimental to my swing tempo, timing, and rhythm to demand a dialed-in length
and a dialed-in ball flight pattern. Moderate differences in distance and ball flight pattern, I
accept.

[SWING SPEED MAX]

Guideline: Visual-motor imagery regulates intended movements by dialing through the various motor
processes forming a mental blueprint: The key to engaging swing speed max.

Time and time again, I struggle to scale down inner core tension that impedes mental blueprint
execution to engage swing speed max. Consequently, as a routine, (1) I complete an extreme
deep breathing procedure that encompasses bending over, filling my lungs with air, exhaling to
dampen inner core tension. (2) I engage a preprogrammed meditation technique that sweeps
away innercore tension. (3) I squeeze and relax my hands/arms/shoulders muscles, tendons,
and ligaments to purge deep-seated inner core tension.

101
Guideline: To avoid confusion, conflict, and ineffectiveness, crisscrossing intermix information from the
conscious level and the subconscious level is in a disciplined form.

A swooshing sound through dense wet grass signals precise swing mechanics. The first swing
that morning failed to produce the desired swoosh sound. Swing corrections were needed. It
was a revelation.

The “common Gateway Interface” provides the communication medium to engage conscious
and subconscious interactions that generate intricate athletic movements. My conscious and
subconscious endeavored to make swing corrections on the second swing. It was an “in the
zone” moment.

I noticed my elbows were bumping into my body before I settled into my stance. I was aware
that my wrists were rotated and cocked in the right |set| position. In a feel-awareness
moment, I lifted the clubhead into the proper release point position |set| on the backswing.
The downswing |release| produced the appropriate swoosh sound through the dense wet
grass.

Later, the words that described the corrective actions bubbled up into my conscious mind.

One can analyze and understand one’s swing providing the working model of execution is
processed through the interactions and directives engaged in the “common gateway
interface”. The conscious and subconscious are harmonious.
(4) My member 430-acre tear-shaped island golf course is geographically set apart from the
surrounding community by a river controlled by a nearby dam. Wild turkeys, ducks, geese, and
deer roam at will day and night. Touring the front nine, one may view the wake made by
outboard motorboats cruising on the water, picturesque houses on a distant high cliff, and a
long-time abandoned road tunnel visually framed below a rust-colored truss bridge spanning
across the broad river.

(5) On the number 13 hole, I joined a husband and wife team being middle age, trail card,
capable players. A brief observation produced a favorable impression. I had a good feeling
about their competitive playing relationship on the golf course.

The golfing couple standing on the green watched as I prepared for a long bunker shot. My
pitching wedge sand shot soared high in the air, landing on the upper tier of the green, rolling
to five feet from the hole. “Just like watching on TV,’’ she said. “Thank you,” I said.

MIND-BODY

Thought processes choreographed, intermixed, and mapped within a complex mind-body

mechanism coordinate movements in a seamless sequence to complete a task.

Mind-body components process crisscross information to achieve equilibrium and harmony.

In theory, mind-body component boundaries buffer, intermix, overlap, or layer information at

various levels.

As communication and understanding permeate fluid boundaries, the information flow

process, fluctuating in strength and influence, is shaped.

In essence, the overlapping components dominate in-the-zone action that produces the desired
results.

Rationale: My mind engages individual mind-body components and overlapping components in

a complex flow of action to achieve balance and harmony.

104
Mindset Flow

Day-to-day mindset flow endeavors to achieve balance and harmony.

105
IN THE ZONE

A spontaneous in-the-zone transition event is a perplexing but pleasing experience.

Conscious control interference and inner core tension became a cause and effect problem
before the number six-hole.

A mindset change occurred as I approached the number six tee box.

Inside the number six tee box, I completed my set-up routine free from conscious control
interference and inner core tension. My long drive landed on the left side of the fairway. I
launched a wood number 3 close to the green. On the number seven-hole, I stroked an
excellent driver shot. I hit a 9-iron close to the pin.

Rationale: At that moment, on the five par number six hole tee, I (1) transitioned from a high
tension state into a low tension state, (2) engaged an efficient subconscious kinetic energy flow,
and (3) mobilized a high-level performance skill-set.

Yes, I know. I am chasing a motor awareness feel that is both elusive and attainable.

106
MEMORY VISUALIZATION AID

My computer-generated images provide an excellent memory visualization aid that strengthens

subconscious flow communication. Personal experience information is revised and revised
again to construct an image.

(1) Image repetition forms a strong memory unit, (2) Memory packets trigger a
complete memory unit recall, (3) Multiple images provide an information resource
that adds detail to the memory unit, and (4) Image response stimulation is
sufficient to construct a proficient memory unit.

Computer-generated images provide a means to boost the level of conscious and subconscious
descriptive flow communication to create an in-the-zone cohesive unit process that facilitates
the execution of swing speed max.

The Elite Player

(1) Beginning at age eleven, I studied elite player golf swing fundamentals. The first-rate actions
of the elite player became implicitly implanted in my mind. In time I became disappointed and
disheartened. Not an elite athlete, I did possess athletic intelligence and intinsic motivation. In
time, I learned that self-determination through self-imposed innovative lessons produced the
feeling of well-being and fulfillment that I seek.

(2) My hands and wrists communicate information.

Guideline: I observe a pre-swing rotation: (1) left palm rotates clockwise to target (2) left thumb pointing
down (3) hollow of the elbow rotates counterclockwise over and up. I am pre-swing ignition ready.

(3) A local-well known par-three golf course resides on a former long-standing school site that
features a historically preserved red 2-story brick building and a white classroom brick
building that is now the clubhouse. I worked as a programmer in the final days of the school’s
educational history.

(4) On the number 11 hole, I joined a single player. I noticed the logo on his golf bag. “Are you a
college player?” I asked. “Yes, sir,” He said.

I observed the power, full-extension, and smooth rhythm of an elite player.

Unaffected, I proceeded to engage my self-determined swing efforts with confidence and

harmony.

(5) On the 17th hole, I faced a problematic pitch several yards off the elevated green in spongy
rough that can snag an iron. I stroked a 7-wood runner up the slope, rolling to within 4 feet of
the hole. I holed the putt for a 3.

“Nice up and down,” he said, “thank you,” I said.

109
Homeslice

I proposed a best-ball solution. The best ball position is the ball in play. One of the playing
partners places his ball alongside the best ball position: no nearer the hole. Proposal accepted.

We work together as a team to score against par. I like it.

Guideline: I trust the stimulus of competition delivers a rush of sustained adrenaline, intense focus, and
heightened agile awareness that supports intrinsic competitive vitality and composure.

Rolling fairways are nestled within dense towering hardwoods spawning a feeling of privacy. A
winding river adjoins the long five par two-hole. Ponds, marshes, and creeks engender a
tranquil outing in nature.

My self-imposed long-running golf developmental process produced a complete golf swing unit.
Step one: I transitioned from a conscious mindset to a subconscious spatial awareness
mindset. Implementing a feel awareness mindset blueprint was the second step, now, the third
step: to sustain a spatial awareness mindset shot after shot.

Swing preservation or swing integrity is a fundamental tool.

Guideline: To avoid confusion, conflict, and ineffectiveness, crisscrossing information from the conscious
level and the subconscious level is in a disciplined form.

Accordingly, I devised a grading system that evaluates my ability to sustain an awareness

mindset on the golf course. Level B is a good grade. In the main, I fluctuate between a C⁺ and a
B⁺.

Incidents trigger an adrenaline flow spike that instantly sharpens concentration and spatial
movement coordination.

Incident (1) I had caught up with a foursome on the four par number 15 hole. I wanted to
continue my round number sixteen hole. The smiling faces I encountered had other ideas.
Immediately, an adrenaline spike increased my grade level from a C⁺ to a B⁺. In response, I
drilled a straight drive down the fairway. My B⁺ mindset level continued for the rest of the
round.

Incident (2) A friendly golf course neighbor engaged me in superfluous conversation as I walked
up to the number 14 tee box. My spatial awareness mindset concentration leaped from a C⁺ to
a B⁺ in a flash. I maintained a B⁺ mindset for the rest of the round.

110
Long thick grass provides a medium to train swing plane area impact. Imagination and a
natural disciplined intensity form the temperament to engage in solitary backyard play. Swing
path visualization and spatial orientation awareness is essential.

I had practiced through thick blade grass before noting impact torque accelerated sound,
ball strike release visualization, and target sightline perception. Later I established that
wet grass is best. I swing through wet long grass /swoosh/. The sound is similar to the
inflected accelerator air-pitched sound I performed to simulate clubhead acceleration
through the impact area. The grass/swoosh/sound replicates the clubhead acceleration
through the impact area.

111
Final Fade

FLASHBACK

“Hey, nice drive,” He said.

My superb tee shot drive bounced again and again down the tree line fairway triggering a
pleasing retroactive memory response channel linked to my neighborhood elementary school
playground player days.

Presently, I stepped forward with my right foot delivering an uppercut swing that powered the
softball to the left-center-field area.

I ran to first base, visually aware of the ball bouncing in the distance, chased by the playground
players. Pleased and delighted, I became immersed in navigating within the framework of the
game.

“Thank you,” I said.

I have a sense that experience repeats itself. Time maps embodied and embedded in neural
network layers intertwine past, present and future. Prior experience imagery recall
interconnects awareness anticipation scenarios to shape and re-shape complex athletic
movements in real-time performance.

FIREWALL

►I am standing on the tee as I view the number 3 hole. The fairway is straight. It does not flow
to the green. A straight drive and a straight 5-wood will place the ball in an excellent position
for a pitch shot over the creek to the pin.

The fairway target is right of the green on my second shot. However, I am aware of the green in
peripheral vision. It becomes a second target. The green sighted in my peripheral vision has
created a false orientation dual-target sightline. As a consequence: (1) Swing path is off-line. (2)
The ball flight pattern is off-line. (3) Swing integrity is impaired. Double cross!

►I am standing over a short putt that breaks from right to left. The hole in peripheral vision
becomes a second target. My left hand rotates counterclockwise, rolling the ball off-line to the
second target. The second target has pulled my attention away from the original putt line.
Double Cross!

I endeavor to block out the peripheral target. However, a momentary lapse in concentration will
send discordant messages spawning dual-target directionality and a false orientation
perception.

►I am standing on the fairway of the number 9 hole. The pin is on the left side of the green
beyond a deep bunker. I project a 5-wood fairway shot to follow the fairway to the right side of
the green. In mid-swing, I re-direct my swing path to target the pin. The shot is a success. It
feels natural.

112
SUMMER SHADE

My deep breathing pre-shot routine is (now) set in stone.

(1) I hold the length of my club with both hands extending the shaft away from my body. (2) I
tense my hands, arms, and shoulders. (3) I bend my upper body forward, simultaneously
breathing in until my upper body reaches a parallel position. (4) I forcefully exhale and relax
my hands, arms, and shoulders.

My deep breathing pre-shot routine is a sound physical therapy practice to stretch my

surgically repaired back and an excellent neurophysiological technique to temper inner core
tension.

Guideline: I stand square to the target. I drop my right foot back 16 inches to visualize an inside to outside
swing path. I execute a half-swing: next, I square the stance to the target. The inside-to-outside swing path
becomes established.

Guideline: Before swing ignition, I engage (1) shoulders up (2) small of back bowed-in (3) legs down.
Consequently, the clubhead lifts up and out. The clubhead weight elongates my arms and wrists downward
into an ideal pre-swing position that facilitates a downswing re-focus impact zone eye sweep.

My re-focused impact zone eye sweep is a significant upgrade.

(1) My eyes follow the clubhead as it lifts (2) My eyes remain focused on the pre-swing clubhead
location and the backswing plane path (3) I re-focus my eye sweep upon downswing impact
area re-entry.

MINDSET

I have remediated my sun shadow, sightline, alignment, spasmodic grip, and motor memory
glitches. My developmental golf swing is complete. Fixing on the run is a dead issue.

Guideline: The idea is that a proper blend of fundamentals, anticipation, and execution produces a precise
athletic movement that shapes a corresponding level of confidence and harmony on the playing field.

Guideline: The operative word is simplicity. Subconscious feel sensations tempo, rhythm, and timing are
engaged to regulate swing mechanism execution. Conscious directives inhibited.

113
PARADOX

Long-term analytical conscious processing emboldens a self-conscious mindset. What to do?

The automatic subconscious system needs to be in control: However, the conscious mind
refuses to stand aside. Flow immersion countermeasures are tools.

Yes, I know. I am chasing a motor awareness feel that is both elusive and attainable.

It is a paradox.

I divided the process into ten distinct in-the-zone components.

►Assets: absorption autotelic anticipation focus immersion

►Neutral: time

►Progress: balance control flow tempo

I am relaxed and patient.

I am attuned to subconscious feel awareness images that trigger a sense of empowerment to

enable a performance level immersed in balance, control, flow, and tempo.

A procedural blend |•knowledge •experience •confidence •harmony| subconscious memory

process achieves a self-regulating turn-key blueprint that monitors and modulates the
mind-body continuum.

A cursory verification application is all that is needed.

I trust the natural process to self-actuate.

TRIGGER

Guideline: I stand square to the target. I drop my right foot back 16 inches to visualize an inside to outside
swing path. I execute a half-swing: next, I square the stance to the target. The inside-to-outside swing path
becomes established.

I tapped the softball bat on the muscle between my shoulder and neck to provide a trigger
swing readiness signal. It worked well.

I adapted the idea.

I tap my elbows on my body. The signals provided a readiness trigger /set/ to the upcoming
swing action. The top of my backswing features the elbow position up and out /set/. The right
elbow quickly transitions to my right side /release/ directs a “laid-off” shaft slot.

Timing is critical.

114
RELEASE POINT

My stance is wide. My grip features a “strong” left hand and a neutral right hand. On the golf
course, I never hook and seldom draw. My strong wrists provide power to my swing. I practice
keeping my feet still and my hips still. An age-related abbreviated shoulder turn limits distance
in my game. I lift the clubhead up and out to complete the set position.

A forward press ignites a slow-tempo clubhead lift to complete the backswing.

I engage a slow-tempo clubhead lift on the backswing to place the clubhead into the release
point position set. The left wrist rotates, and the right wrist cocks to position the clubhead into
the ideal position to release the club on-plane to achieve a perfect swing arc on the downswing.

I implement the transition from the release point set to the downswing release.

The right elbow propels the club to the “laid-off” on-plane position. The left wrist rotates, and
the right wrist uncocks through impact. The feel of the shot and the ball flight pattern tells the
tale.

115
FINAL FIT

Inner core tension made the shot-making process problematic. Swing fluid rhythm was
inconsistent or non-existent. Seeking a solution, I engaged in swing path, swing plane, and
pre-shot routine strategies to remediate the inner core tension enigma. The results were
encouraging.

Physical therapy is a piece of the puzzle. Physical therapy (1) facilitates movement, (2) relieves
pain, (3) increases fluid circulation, (4) relaxes muscles, and (5) improves muscle function. My
golf swing improved dramatically following four months of physical therapy mobilization. Inner
core tension diminished.

Meditation is the final piece of the puzzle. Self-hypnosis training eliminates inner core tension
at the source on a subconscious level in the address position. My swing is fluid to a consistent
level. My life is super senior meritorious. Wonderful!

I affirm. Commonplace levels of personal competitive participation are considered

subordinate to the professional level of operation experienced by so few and vicariously
viewed by (so) many. It’s a pity.

One’s performance is paramount to one’s well-being.

Indeed, one’s mind is an information processing unit controlled by a set of physical, social,
and cognitive drives that downlinks to an autonomous deep state neural network system
that is empowered to pursue desired outcomes in an open environment.

I affirm. Every interactive performance event provides personal interest, meaning, and
value to one and all in both time and place.

The imagination I possess safeguards the words I write. Engaging one’s imagination to
express and embrace one’s mental and physical processes is a blessing. One believes that
one’s words have value. I trust the process implicitly.

Only in the reader’s mind will the angels sing

Sensory Distant Connection

PRECOGNITION

Qubits are components that encompass all

fundamental quantum phenomena.

Telepathy is a knowing phenomenon between the

minds of individuals that defies classical
explanation.

Clairvoyance is a deep state visual perception of distant time frames.

Telekinesis is a subconscious deep state operation designed to influence quantum physical

systems without physical interactions.

Precognition is a deep state visual process constructed to perceive future time frames.

In the quantum world, interacting quantum particles become entangled. Entangled particles
are split and separated. Any change in one entangled particle instantly changes the distant
entangled particle.

Quantum superposition states that a quantum particle exists in two separate places at the
same time.

Quantum fields are non-material structures that permeate space-time throughout the
universe.

Quantum tunnelling is an atom or electron passing through an impossible energy barrier.

Cosmic memory information permeates the pre-programmed universe. Quantum entanglement

and superposition properties provide a communication path. Information inscribed in the
fabric of space-time is accessible to sensory perception.

Quantum entanglement, superposition, and tunnelling provide a dynamic operational

mechanism that supports deep state precognition. Internal deep state visual units encode and
decode entangled qubits to seal the deal.

Quantum entanglement communication at a distance is an instant knowing that supports a

deep state operation to decode the immediate future.

There are advantages to decoding short-term future events: (1) updates real-time information,
(2) elevates real-time suppositions, and (3) supports confidence.

Is quantum action at a distance interwoven into the fabric of space? Are quantum biological
processes hidden in complex cell structures? It would explain a lot. Present and future
consciousness space-time interactions are entangled. In effect, the conscious mind transmits
information from itself to itself through space-time interactions.

120
There are quantum time frame precognition possibilities under consideration (1) future time
frame action, (2) superposition future time frame selection, and (3) future time frame
manipulation.

The sphere of influence that encompasses time entanglement compression directs immediate
future visualization before it becomes the present.

The quantum information circle of cycles completes the visualization process.

Eye movements and sensory perception are connected. Quantum field precognitions, future
time frame connections, locate future time frames suppressing eye movements to create a
locked-in focus. The result is a quicker decision-making process in real-time action.

(1) The present and the future are entangled. The circle of cycles is encoded and decoded to
link the future and the past.

(2) The present and the future are superimposed. Superposition future time frame selection is
present in real-time operations. Visualized compressed time frames are superimposed.

(3) Present and future consciousness quantum space-time interactions are entangled. The
influential consciousness in the present is the interactive consciousness of the future.

121
HOLOGRAPHIC PRINCIPLE

Information encoded on a two-dimensional boundary surface creates a

three-dimensional projection inside a volume of space.

All information contained in the volume of space is a hologram.

Encoded holographic information energy waves permeate our holographic universe.

Our universe is a hologram.

122
MICROTUBULES

Microtubules are polymers of tubulin in the cytoskeleton. Microtubules provide structure and
shape to eukaryotic cells.

Polymers are repeating macromolecules in a substance. Tubulin is a type of protein that forms
microtubules. The cytoskeleton helps maintain the shape and support of a cell. Eukaryotic
cells are membrane-bound structures with a nucleus in the center.

Quantum vibrations exist in microtubules. Potential quantum entanglement mechanisms are

present in cellular processes. Microtubules are a quantum communication center to the
conscious universe.

THOTONS

Entangled qubits send perceptions and impressions to receptors through superpositional

teleportation.

Quantum subluminal communication is a process that forms a quantum entangled state of

minds to send and receive information over distances.

Is quantum subluminal communication an evolved natural process, or is it a pre-programmed

intelligent design implant? No one knows.

HOLOGRAM

Is the conscious quantum process constructed from the elements over time, or is it
pre-programmed? The possibilities are endless.

Entanglement, tunnelling, superposition, and the collapse of the wave function are holographic
principles. Counterintuitive is the operative word.

The wave function spreads throughout the universe. In a sequential flow of events, quantum
entangled regions of the brain interconnect in a spatiotemporal experience. The subconscious
mind engages in perceptual choices to collapse the quantum superposition wave function. The
wave function possibilities or branches collapse to a single result that supports the conscious
mind.

Is it that I am a hologram and everything else is real? Or, is it that everything else is a
hologram, and I am real? Or, is it that I am a hologram and everything else is a hologram?

NON-CODING DNA

The sudden dramatic change in intelligence from the first walking humans to the modern
thinking humans is a puzzle. Natural genetic evolution cannot explain the difference in brain
complexity. There are other possibilities. Are earth humans a product of extraterrestrial genetic
manipulation? No one knows.

123
NINE STAR KI

Ancient civilizations thousands of years in the past engaged in observations of human behavior
that led to a vast reservoir of recorded knowledge, correlations, and patterns involving the
physical properties of water, wood, fire, earth, and metal to construct a behavioral map
consisting of numbers and descriptions.

(1) Water represents a strong, deep, effortless force, (2) Wood is a vital upward drive to take
productive action, (3) Fire explodes in outward expansion filled with fun, excitement, and
exhilaration, (4) Earth is centered, solid, and stable, (5) Metal is an inward value of
appreciation and routine.

A birth chart is correlated to discover a three-number pattern sequence that completes a

behavioral map. The number pattern 9.3.2 is illuminating. I answered a questionnaire to
establish the five-element pattern numbers. The number pattern 10,10,2,2,10 descriptions are
a match. It is amazing.

124
KABBALAH

It is a revelation. A spiritual “cloud” is accessible to one and all. It is a miracle.

ASTROLOGY

Ancient interactive lessons support a spiritual bond that transcends the expanse of time and
space.

INTUITION

Intuition is a knowing experience. It is a kinesthetic, emotional, or spiritual experience in

random events. Subconscious intuition provides a quick assessment road map that guides
conscious decision-making.

Intuition operates independent of conscious control or awareness recognition. The

subconscious mind relies on pattern-matching, long-term memory, and instant judgment to
engage in high-speed actions and reactions to mind-body spatial interactions.

Is the subconscious mind accessing universal information beyond experience, reasoning, or

awareness?

QUIDDITIES

Quiddities are embedded bits of microphysical information that permeate the universe. It defies
descriptive interpretation but is there nevertheless. Quiddities contain informative mechanisms
that support conscious thoughts and actions as bonding building blocks.

What are quiddities made of: Is it a particle that has mass or not? Does it have a physical
structure or not? Is it hidden in dark energy or higher dimensions? In some form, quiddities
exist and manifest themselves throughout the universe.

Quantum entanglement provides a conduit to connect and intertwine microphysical quiddities

to support the conscious mind. It has an intuitive appeal.

GEOMETRY

Geometric patterns and shapes detailed in the natural world augment a deep-state
understanding of universal concepts and spiritual possibilities.

INTERVENTION

Is it a constant intervention? Is it pre-planned and pre-programmed? Or is it an intervention at

intervals in time? The possibilities are endless.

ENTANGLEMENT

A.I. quantum machines engage entangled qubits to assimilate cognitive receptor circuits. Are
quantum computer interactions in our future?

125
QUIDDITIES

Quiddities are embedded bits of information that are part of the microphysical world.

126
TELEPATHY

Telepathy, clairvoyance, and telekinesis are paranormal events. Subconscious entangled

quantum qubits transport interpersonal information. The transporting of quantum information
is a quantum paranormal deep-state phenomenon.

Paranormal events are a subconscious random occurrence that displays an autonomous

working identity to expand the limits of normal cognitive human abilities. Paranormal events
engage instant communication and interaction to transport interpersonal information
throughout the universal spatial-temporal continuum.

I have experienced several telepathic connections in distance and time. A telepathic connection
is a subconscious automated response to stimuli. Personal experiences have indicated to me
that telepathic abilities are selective and intrinsic.

Time and time again, I have experienced a feel sensation telepathic communication process in
action as feel sensation information bundle, in a flash, surged into conscious awareness.

Spontaneous telepathic phenomenal sensation transportation elicits one or several individuals

into participation interaction.

A wordless telepathic connection in distance and time became a “wow” moment. The initial
telepathic connection occurred in the clubhouse. The second telepathic connection occurred
hours later in the day. The same person in a distant speeding cart turned to smile at me. It is
one of recognition.

Telepathic abilities engage designed long-term memory images and impressions to interact with
another person or persons of one’s choosing.

An individual’s mental state can produce a similar or identical state in another individual in
the form of images and impressions as one’s thoughts become the thoughts of another person
or persons.

Quantum entanglement, tunnelling, and superposition engage an intrinsic mode of telepathic

abilities to produce a telepathic state of operation: quantum teleportation.

Telepathic abilities flourish in many forms described as verbal, nonverbal, images, and
impressions. One or more telepathic abilities are engaged in time and place through intrinsic
subconscious selective control.

Encoded nonverbal telepathic information is transported into biophoton cells to decode and
record. (1) Information impressions and images are transported to predisposed intrinsic
receptors. (2) Impressions and images are biophoton recorded in subliminal mode deep in
subconscious awareness. (3) Collective sensations are compared to relevant long-term memory
storage. (4) Understanding of information sensations engages reciprocal action and reactions.

Can teleportation operations be stepped up in intensity and control? Will a speed bump or
other restriction be eliminated? Will spontaneous occurrences be controlled by an on/off
switch? I am stunned, alarmed, and apprehensive..

GUIDELINES

GOLF GLITCHES

1) (1) First, I observe an object in the distance (90 degrees) to the target line. (2) Then, I extend the
clubhead to the distant object; (3) Next, I set my feet accordingly. (4) Last, I maintain a 90⁺
alignment image throughout the swing process from the address position to the top of the
backswing to the downswing release through impact.

2) I have constructed a motor imagery system to shield myself from external disturbances. In time, I
developed an inner sense of feel awareness direction that serves as a firewall to neutralize
interfering visual disturbances, target directionality, and false orientation perceptions.

3) The space between my index finger and my little finger will measure my spatial distortion dilemma.
I rotate my hand counterclockwise until the little finger points down the shaft. My perception is a
rotation slightly to the left.

4) Sedulously seeking relief, I perceptually suppressed neural memory access to my disruptive

spasmodic fingers. Furthermore, I enabled a mental discipline idea to induce the cells in my arms
and shoulders to swell. Real or imagined, I stimulated fluids inside each cell to flow outward in all
directions generating a supple, relaxed feel.

137
KINESTHESIS

1) In sequential order, (1) the first step involved the mechanics of the swing component assimilated
into the swing package. (2) The second step monitored the physical aspects of the swing
component; activated muscles, tendons, and ligaments stretched. However, that stretched feeling
quickly faded, extending to retain that stretched feel proved to be a recurring problem,
consequently, steps three and four. (3) The third step involved replacing the stretched feel with an
awareness motor feel that accompanied the performance of the swing component. (4) The fourth
step necessitated executing the swing element by (feel) awareness alone.
2) The operative word is simplicity. Subconscious feel sensations tempo, rhythm, and timing are
engaged to regulate swing mechanism execution. Conscious directives inhibited.

3) I engage a slight timing pause at the top of the (upright) backswing. The (right) elbow transitions
straight down to my (right) side as my left wrist rotates passively clockwise. The “laid-off” golf shaft
creates an inside-the-target line downswing release to impact.

4) The elongated down hands and wrists at address engender a free and fluid motion from the
address /set/ throughout the re-entry /set/ that positions the hands and wrists for the optimum
re-route /release/ through the impact area down the target line.

5) The slight cocking and uncocking of the wrists elongate the hands down through impact.

6) The perpendicular shaft at address allows the hands to rotate forward following forward press
ignition.

7) Advantageous right leg load and release positioning provide needed structure, balance, and
stability.

8) I observe a pre-swing rotation: (1) left palm rotates clockwise to target (2) left thumb pointing
down (3) hollow of the elbow rotates counterclockwise over and up. I am pre-swing ignition ready.

138
9) Before swing ignition, I engage (1) shoulders up (2) small of back bowed-in and (3) legs down.
Consequently, the clubhead lifts up and out. The clubhead weight elongates my arms and wrists
downward into an ideal pre-swing position that facilitates a downswing re-focus impact zone eye
sweep.

10) I have adopted a drive control discipline that affirms ball flight pattern limitations.

11) I have applied a drive distance discipline that affirms ball flight distance limitations.

12) I have embraced a distance loss discipline that affirms distance loss limitations.

13) Approaching the tee box: (1) I practice a self-made inflected accelerated air pitched sound, and (2)
I visualize a free-spinning wheel. Sound and image will support swing tempo, timing, and rhythm
visualization.

14) (1) Tapping elbows /set/ to the body triggers swing ignition, (2) Rotating left wrist /set/ to max
completes the backswing, and (3) Rotating the right elbow /release/ to the right side are swing
orientation subconscious checkpoints that anchor swing path visualization awareness.

15) I stand square to the target. I drop my right foot 16 inches to visualize an inside to outside swing
path. I execute a half-swing: next, I square the stance to the target. The inside-to-outside swing
path becomes established.

16) Swing mechanics lessons provide approximations of proper swing form. Consequently, swing
mechanics approximations learned are adapted to the golf course conditions shaping precise
swing alignment and strategic swing adjustments.

17) I trust the stimulus of competition delivers a rush of sustained adrenaline, intense focus, and
heightened agile awareness that supports intrinsic competitive composure and vitality.

139
SOMESTHESIS

1) The idea is that a proper blend of fundamentals, anticipation, and execution produces a precise
athletic movement that shapes a corresponding level of confidence and harmony.

2) To avoid confusion, conflict, and ineffectiveness, crisscrossing information from the conscious level
and the subconscious level is in a disciplined form.

3) My athletic intelligence employs a wide-angle sweeping visual scan, anticipating movements,

triggered or spontaneous, before or during, creating a feel anticipation snapshot: The key to
everything athletic.

4) Visual-motor imagery regulates intended movements by dialing through the moving processes
forming a mental blueprint: The key to engaging swing speed max.

5) Crossover information flows through a conduit between descriptive language and motor
awareness. Interpolative, this conduit provides a gateway buffering the translating and
understanding of crisscrossing information. The result is my intellect accommodates both the
impression and descriptive interpretations of athletic movements enabling direct neural memory
access: The key to flawless execution.
