LCM of algebraic expression


The smallest algebraic expression exactly divisible by two given expressions is the L.C.M. of the two
expressions. First of all, factorise the given expressions. Then obtain the factors which are common to the three
expressions, and after that obtain the factors common to two expressions.
The LCM of given expression is the smallest expression that is divisible by each of the given expressions.

To find the LCM of given expressions, we proceed as follows:

 Express each of the expressions as the product of its factors including prime factors where applicable.
 Find the product of each factor with the highest power which occurs in the given expressions.
 This product is the LCM. Study the following solved sum-
