question has FOUR options (A), (B), (C) and (D). ONLY ONE of these four options is correct

Paragraph for Question Nos. 15 to 16

A ray of light is coming along the line L = 0 and strikes the plane mirror kept along the plane P = 0 at B.

Paragraph for Question Nos. 17 to 18

B and C are the only two people who will enter the Lady Gaga Jingle contest. Only one entry is allowed
per contestant and the judge will declare the one winner as soon as he receives a suitably inane entry,
which may be never. B writes inane jingles rapidly but poorly. He has probability 0.7 of submitting his
entry first. If C has not already won the contest, B’s entry will be declared the winner with probability 0.3.
C writes slowly, but he has a gift for this sort of thing. If B has not already won the contest by the time of
C’s entry, C will be declared the winner with probability 0.6.

17. What is the probability that B will win?

(A) 0.24 (B) 0.142
(C) 0.18 (D) 0.246

18. Given that B wins, what is the probability that C’s entry arrived first?

Eliminating z from first and second and then from second and third, we get
4x  2y = 7, 4x  2y = 1, which leads to 0x + 0y = 6
Similarly, eliminating y, we get
6x  2z = 9, 6x  2z = 15, which leads to 0x + 0z = 6.
No, finite values of x, y and z satisfy all, but the obtained equations are limiting form of
x y x z
  6,   6 , as k tends to infinity.

So, three planes intersect at an infinite distance.
Let first two planes intersect in a line whose direction cosines are proportional to  , m, n then
2  4m  2n  0 and 5   m  n  0 , from which we get
 m n x y z
  . So, lines of intersection of any two of the planes are parallel to the line   .

Since no two of the planes are parallel, so they form a triangular prism.
