6 Vocabulary game
Pupils draw pictures to represent the words in boxes. Cut them out. Print
and cut out the cards on the page. Shuffle the cards with words and pictures
together. Place the cards face down on a table. Pupils turn over two cards at
a time. If they match the word with its picture, they get a point. If the cards
don’t match, they are turned face down again. Pupils must try to remember
were cards are.

Can classical music make plants grow more quicky? Let’s find out.
Materials
• A radio
• Classical music (such as Mozart)
• Two plants of the same type, height and age
• Digital camera
Method
Step 1: P
lace both plants in the same type of environment, but in different
rooms. They should have the same amount of sunlight, water and
soil, and the temperature should be the same.
Step 2: F
or a period of two weeks, place a radio next to one of the plants
and play classical music for two hours a day. The other plant should
have no music. Every few days, take a photo of the plants and
measure them.
Step 3: A
t the end of the two week period, compare the photos and the
height of each plant. Has the plant with the music grown more?
