Presentation Outline

By: Sami Dilisio

Audience: Site Supervisor and Professor (video recording)

Location: Live Healthy Gwinnett Parks and Rec Office

Overview: The purpose of my presentation will be to reflect on my experience as an intern at

Live Healthy Gwinnett. I will touch on topics like the mission and background of Live Healthy

Gwinnett, the importance of community work/who is served, different events I attended

throughout my time, details on my health fair project, my overall thoughts and feelings about my

experience, and a photo gallery showing all of the hard work staff and I put into the community

this semester. Hopefully my presentation will be able to capture just how great of an experience

this internship was for me and let’s staff know just how much I appreciated them and the work

they do.

Project slide overview: Specifically for the slide on my project: I will include my reason for

implementing the health fair, the target audience I served, preparation and implementation

techniques, an evaluation on how it went, as well as photos and additional materials used.

Objective 1: Explain the importance of health by highlighting the four pillars of health BE

Active, Eat healthy, Be positive, Get Checked

-Talk about the work of BAG and Be Harvest and how they work to promote health in the county

through healthy eating and physical activity

-Highlight how the program emphasizes the importance of free screenings and tests

-Different lessons we teach kids that encourage better mental health

-Explain different games and activities we did with afterschool programs to get kids active

Objective 2:

Bring awareness to the need underprivileged populations in Gwinnett County have by

highlighting the work Live Healthy Gwinnett does.

● Sharing specific events that I attend in the community to help underprivileged youth

(apartment visits, resource fairs, school fairs, etc.)

● Talk about the success of different events and how many people showed up to engage in

our work (Example: food donation event.)

● Talk about partnering organizations that work towards a similar goal

● Explain how this led to me implementing a health fair full of free screenings and vendors

My goal is to…

-Have at least 80 people show up to the health fair

-Have around 20 vendors attended

-Get a health educator to teach small health lessons to the community
