```````````````````A Detailed Lesson Plan in Physical Science
I. Objectives
After one-hour lesson, the student should be able to:
 identify the polarity of the substances based on the result of each
setup;
 describe what happens at the molecular level for each setup; and
 investigate the solubility and miscibility of several substances using
water as the solvent.
II. Subject Matter
B. Presentation
Last time, I already discuss the
topic about the Properties of
Molecules.
Now we will going to have an
activity which is called the
“Polarity Experiment”.
Since I already grouped you into
8, settle your group quietly.
Before we proceed to the activity,
C. Pre-Activity
Here’s the procedure for the
experiment.
Procedure:
1. Get your disposable cup and
prepare the following set-up.
Set-up 1: Water + Cooking Oil
Set-up 2: Shampoo + Alcohol
Set-up 3: Cooking Oil + Soy
Sauce
Set-up 4: Alcohol + Shampoo
Set-up 5: Shampoo + Cooking
Oil
2. Thoroughly stir each mixture
and observe carefully.
3. Properly label each set-up.
