Section I: Research Topic Details Research title: Climate change analysis system in jowhar Problem of the Study This area of work is designed to understand how and why climate varies. It involves developing modeling capability to estimate how the climate will change in the future, as well as developing climate projections for both research and long-term planning. Research Objectives The objectives of this research are to contribute to the projection of climate change impacts on human health by refining assessments of the health impacts of heat stress such as heat waves and air pollution, and to present measures for dealing with forthcoming climate change through the construction of a heat-wave. Research Questions 1. What are the specific adverse effects on natural systems caused by climate change? 2. What are the potential economic effects of transitioning to renewable energy sources and addressing climate change? 3. What policies and regulations are necessary for effective climate change mitigation and adaptation? 4. How can public health be improved through actions to address climate change? Scope of the study Climate change is the defining issue of our time and we are at a defining moment. Shifting weather patterns that threaten food production, rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, fires raging across vast expanses of forest and extreme heat waves and drought, coupled with rapid biodiversity and ecosystem loss, combining to create a mass extinction event that threatens or severely impacts all life on our planet; the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale.
