Outage Update – Lenasia SDC

City Power Lenasia Service Delivery Centre (SDC) is sitting with 281 open calls, 215 calls have been
logged in the last 24 hours and 50 plants out of service. The team will work on reducing the number
of open calls and plants out of service.

Lenasia A:
Lenasia A is sitting with 214 open calls, 186 calls have been logged in the last 24 hours, and 16 plants
out of service.
Current Outages:
Lotus Substation: Affecting parts of Vlakfontein and Hospital Hills. The team is still on site wiring
the protection cables and testing the replacement transformer. An ETR will be communicated one the
testing is completed.
Nirvana Substation: Affecting parts of Thembelihle F Section. Power is 96% restored. The team is
working on supply restoration.

Lenasia B:
Lenasia B is sitting with 67 open calls, 29 calls have been logged int the last 24 hours, and 34 plants
out of service.
Current Outages: Affecting Avalon Cemetery. The team is sourcing material to repair and replace
the stolen cable. The ETR will be communicated once materials arrive on site.

Loadshedding has been suspended until further notice. Click here to find the full

Note:
During an outage, unplug all appliances to prevent inrush current when the power supply is
restored. This minimizes the risk of network disruptions and ensures a continuous electricity
supply.
