Accession Day

Good morning everyone. I welcome you all here to commemorate the 76 th

anniversary of accession of princely state of Jammu & Kashmir to India on 26 th
Oct 1947. Maharaja Hari Singh- The magnanimous personality, the visionary ruler
whose contribution is immense in the socio-economic growth of Jammu and
Kashmir. It was Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, who took the pivotal step of signing the
instrument of accession thereby securing the region’s future within the Indian
union.

With great joy, I feel privileged to extend my warm welcome to our honorable
chief guest Shri Deepak Gupta Ji, Proud Alumni of batch 2012. When it comes to
his achievements, the list is endless. Sir is practicing law in J&K High court. He is
a social activist and State secretary ABVP Jammu and Kashmir. Sir has also served
as President, Jammu University ABVP. Sir represented India as the only student
leader in a delegation of 5 members headed by the honorable secretary to ministry
of youth affairs government of India along with other ministerial staff in Kampala,
Uganda in 2017.

1. Floral Tribute:

To pay floral tribute to this great ruler, I humbly invite our hon’ble Chief Guest

Let us now invite the person, who doesn’t need any introduction and known among
all of us, for her wisdom and her knowledge – Our hon’ble Principal Ma’am Ms
Ruchi Chabra Ji. I would like to request mam to say a few words.

6. PPT on Accession Day

Accession Day is observed on October 26 every year. To throw light on the

important facts related to the ‘Instrument of Accession’ , I now invite Saifiyan and
Jenna of class VIII. These students were prepared under the guidance of Ms
Anuradha Malhotra and Ms. Insha Ahmed.

7. Panel Discussion:

The Accession day marks the anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh signing the
‘Instrument of Accession’ with the Government of India. The signing of this
document cemented Jammu and Kashmir as a member of the Dominion of India. It
was first announced as a public holiday in 2020. The people in Jammu and
Kashmir whose nationalist sentiments favor India celebrate the day with great joy
and pride.

Our Dipsites will now participate in panel discussion on the topic “The Instrument
of Accession of J&K”., wherein they will highlight the history, political conditions,
tribal invasion in Kashmir etc. So without wasting time lets call upon the stage the
participants with great round of applause.

Parina kandhari, Archishia, Charvi, Arshia and Shivam.

have been struggling and facing many challenges and difficulties to be pioneers.
