0/ Peer pressure is the way people in the same society group influence one another.
1/ There are many types of peer pressure such as
- Peer pressure to get good grades at school
- Peer pressure to be good at sport
- Peer pressure to be fashionable
- Peer pressure to look slim and fit
- Peer pressure to own the latest devices
- Peer pressure not to obey the rules
2/ However, the type of peer pressure affects me the most is ……………………………….
3/ - I used to feel depressed/ upset/ ashamed/ sad/ disappointed when my grades were not as good as my
friends.
- I used to feel depressed/ upset/ ashamed/ sad/ disappointed when I didn’t have modern phones, watches
of nice clothes as my friends.
- I used to feel depressed/ upset/ ashamed/ sad/ disappointed when I didn’t look as fit/ beautiful/cute/
handsome as my friends.
4/ I had a difficult/ hard time overcoming/ getting over this problem. I talked to my parents and teacher
about my feeling. I received/ got good advice from them. I realized that everyone has their own strength
and weakness/ everyone has completely different goals and ideas/ everyone has their own life to live so
there is no need to compare with others.
5/ - I focus on my personal values and ignore the wrong gossip around me. I enjoy life and spend
great/wonderful time with my friends and family.

5/ In short/ In conclusion, peer pressure can be positive or negative. The most important thing is to have
positive attitude toward yourself. You just need to do what’s best and enough for you.
