Casting Concrete Sequence

1. Casting concrete first stage, H= 3.8 m Casting concrete
• Use vibrator every 40 cm thickness 3rd stage
2. Casting concrete second stage, H= 2.4 m Height= 2.35m Idle time ± 2 hours to next
• Use vibrator every 40 cm thickness casting concrete
3. Casting concrete third stage, H= 2.35 m
• Use vibrator every 40 cm thickness

Formwork Installation
1. Installing both side formwork and support until the top of firewall
smelter.
2. Installation start from the edge of the firewall with 1 panel
dimension lenght 1200mm height 2400 mm. Then, continue
installing formwork as drawing on side
3. For the last panel (panel 6), installation start from the edge of
the firewall with half of panel dimension lenght 1200mm height
Opening 2 panels for vibrator and
2400 mm. flexible hose to pouring concrete
4. Green mark are opening for vibrator and flexible hose to pouring
concrete 1st stage. Those opening will closed after casting concrete
1st stage is finished.

Casting Concrete Method (Stage 1)

1. Casting concrete 1st stage, H= 3.8 m
• 2 manpower holding the flexible hose in turn for pouring concrete
• Pouring concrete through opening (green mark) to prevent
segregation of concrete.
• A Supervisor must be in charge during the casting concrete to
control and instruct all workers.
2. Vibrating method
• 3 manpower holding the vibrator for spreading the fresh concrete
• Inserting a vibrator for spreading fresh concrete during casting Opening 2 panels for vibrator and
concrete flexible hose to pouring concrete
• Using vibrator every 40 cm layer thickness Vibrator
• Give minimum 10 cm distance from the formwork
• Pull out vibrator slowly to keep fresh concrete well spreaded

Casting Concrete Method (Stage 2)

1. Idle time ± 2 hours to next casting concrete. During idle time, the
workers are installing panel to close 2 opening from previous casting
concrete.
2. When opening completely closed, QC will do inspection before
casting concrete 2nd stage Vibrator
3. Casting concrete 2nd stage, H= 2.4 m
• 2 manpower holding the flexible hose in turn for pouring concrete
• A Supervisor must be in charge during the casting concrete to Concrete layer every 40 cm
control and instruct all workers.
4. Vibrating method
• 3 manpower holding the vibrator for spreading the fresh concrete
• Inserting a vibrator for spreading fresh concrete during casting Height= 2.4m

Concrete layer every 40 cm
1. Idle time ± 2 hours to last casting concrete
2. Casting concrete 3rd stage, H= 2.35 m
• 2 manpower holding the flexible hose in turn for pouring Height= 2.35m

4. After casting concrete is finished, 2 workers will finishing top
surface with hand trowel.
