Week 5-6 Current Science and Technology Issues in the Philippines

Overview

In this last stretch of the semester, here we will try to grasp the current issues of the STI in the
Philippines. In this course we will also attempt to critique the status and issues of Science and
Technology in the Philippines.

Weekly Objectives:

1. To be fully aware of the current situation in the Philippine health sector, due to scientific
breakthroughs.

2. To understand that due to STI, resolutions are provided.

FINAL OUTPUT : Presentation of Project Proposal

This will be our last stretch, and you are asked to review your answers for the Midterm
Milestone. Once you have reviewed your answers and understood the trends and existing laws of
the Philippines. You can also check and review the reading for finals, you can also use these
alternative laws for your project proposal which is your final output for this course. You will
continue your week 3-4 milestone, and proceed with your groups. You are expected to
provide solutions to the problems you have indicated. You will have the chance to present
your project proposal in multiple mediums. You can choose among the following:

1. Term paper
1.1 Title
1.2 Body
 a. Briefly discussing the law or trend that you chose (Like wearing Face Shields).
b. Providing your appreciation or critique to the law.
c. Providing your suggestion or solution to the issue.
2. A 2-minute recorded video explaining your case and providing your solution.
a. It should consist of the topic of your choice.
b. Should consist of a clear explanation of your solution.
3. Using MS PowerPoint or Google and Canva slides to present a coherent response to the
question. Through a creative virtual presentation.
a. It should show clearly the existing law or trends.
b. Should manifest your solution clearly.

ALL PRESENTATIONS WILL BE PRESENTED IN ACTUAL CLASS.
