Personal Protective

While driving, do not use your phone and do not exceed
speed limits

— Never use hand held mobile phones whilst


driving (unless to call the emergency services).
This includes but is not limited to SMS, video
calls, voice, MMS and downloading of content
whilst driving.
No alcohol or drugs while working or driving

— Always ensure that you are not under the


influence of alcohol or drugs while driving or
performing tasks on a work site or in the office
— Assign work to people who are fit to work
— Immediately remove people from the work who
are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Do not walk within a drop zone

— This area should be clearly marked using


suitable temporary barriers, cones or rope and
accompanied by adequate signage in order to
protect those on the ground
— Work to reduce the risk of tools and equipment
being dropped
— Make sure only persons who have been made
aware of the danger, who are authorized and
are wearing safety helmets shall be allowed
into the Drop Zone
Always wear seat belt

— It is the driver’s responsibility that all


passengers are wearing seat belts
— Use seatbelts in all kind of vehicles
— Secure that employees are following the rules
— Educate and train employees to raise
awareness and understanding
Protect yourself against falling from height

— Always wear the proper equipment for climbing


— Always be ready to show a valid certificate for
climbing
— Pay close attention to conditions and abort if
there is any cause for concern
— Secure that all climbers have the needed
training and certificates before conducting the
work
Use correct life saving PPE whenever
required

— Personal Protective Equipment termed ‘life saving’ are


personal fall arrest systems and personal respiratory
protection equipment (except dust masks).
— A personal fall arrest system must be used when working
outside a protective environment with a fall hazard over 2
meters.
— Make sure that the specific life saving PPE is available and
personnel are trained
— Confirm that suitable anchor points are available if
personal fall arrest system is to be used
— Confirm that it is safe to start work at height or in the
hazardous or potentially hazardous atmosphere
Verify energy isolation before work

— Ensure only competent persons undertake


electrical works
— Be aware and inform personnel of the hazardous
energy sources at the work site
— Confirm all hazardous energy sources have been
isolated and isolations are in place, for example:
blinds, fuse locks or valve handle locks
— Confirm no stored energy or other hazards remain
— Confirm that it is safe to start work

Infrom the Human resources, what is the expected job, what are the risks he/she may be exposed
Train the Human resources on how to avoid, master & act in front of the risks
NB/ Training is not an habilitation, (Training + Medical check) can lead to habilitation, the habilitation is provided by the employer as
per Algerian regulation.

D-Protection:
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE):
The employer has to provide normalized & adequate PPE to all his employees based on the risk analysis performed.

• Ericsson is putting in place a monitoring and control process to make sure
that the work is being executed in safe way:
• RSA: Remote site activities: Ericsson will be auditing each team before to start any
activity, based on audit results the team will be provided or not with a permit to
work
• On site Audit : Ericsson OHS Auditors are on site to make sure the assigned team is
complying with the OHS Directives
