Dear Courtney Smith and the Dynamo team,

Despite graduating college this month, I bring to your team three years of experience in
marketing, communications, and PR with the record breaking San Diego Wave FC in the
National Women’s Soccer League. I am eager for the opportunity to grow my skills with the
marketing associate position with the Dynamo.

During my time at the San Diego Wave, I served as their only marketing intern for the first two
years which allowed me to touch nearly every department and become a well rounded
employee from the start. I developed an understanding of what it means to work hard behind the
scenes to ensure the on and off field success of the Wave. I have a strong desire to learn,
adapt, and succeed in the sports industry.

Your mission highlights how your “eyes are firmly fixed on the future” and as a new graduate,
this is what I want my future employer to value. One of the biggest things I want to improve on is
my confidence in whatever role I am given. I am eager to immerse myself in the Forever Orange
community and commit to the demanding schedule the sports industry entails.
