Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to apply for the coaching opening within your club. I have a great amount of experience coaching at a
variety of different high levels, from semi-professional with Michigan Stars FC, youth academy with Michigan
Revolution FC and Reds Futsal Academy, and Division 1 college at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Throughout these experiences I gained many new skills as well as refining those I already had. Adaptability is one
of the major skills I have gained at a high level due to moving from team teams that vary so drastically. It was a
challenge to be able to take my coaching visions and implement them within different scenarios. Adapting from
implementing a philosophy with children, one that brought us a trophy as league winners for the top division of
USYF futsal in the state of Michigan this past season at the 2010 age level, varies greatly from implementing a
philosophy within college students playing at a division 1 national level. However, it was these challenges that
allowed me to grow as a coach and become much stronger and confident in adapting to new scenarios, and
communicating and leading no matter the challenge thrown at me. College soccer taught me that coaching doesn’t
just begin and end at the field, it is countless hours behind a desk watching film, thinking of gameplans,
communicating with players and staff to make sure your ideals are being implemented the way you want them to be,
and my desire to put in these hours and more to bring success is something I will bring to your program.

Determination is another skill that is a strength of mine. As someone who did not have experience playing at a high
level, it was difficult to break into coaching as I did not have any connections or reputation within the field to have a
solid building ground to work off of. Instead, I had to start from the bottom, constantly emailing and calling clubs
and companies trying to find an opportunity to prove myself, before finally receiving an opportunity to be a
volunteer assistant for a youth club. From there, my determination to make it to the next level even when it seems
difficult is why I have continued to get opportunity after opportunity to climb the ladder and coach at higher levels,
learn from so many different people, build new connections in the field, and excel at each level I go to. I don’t settle
once I have received a job, instead I look to learn as much as I can, and work as hard as I can to have success at each
level, and bring success to the teams I work for.

I believe that this club has all the tools needed to be very successful in the near future, and bringing me in will help
to ensure that you reach that level of success. With my experience and passion and the opportunity present at your
club I sincerely hope that I will have the opportunity to play a role in helping take this team to the levels it can reach.
