STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Name: Tushar Sachdeva

Diversity makes life interesting, and in this span of 25 years of my life I have been fortunate enough to see vast
experiences in life which have helped me to grow in life. I have done my schooling from Delhi Public School
Jhakri then my B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SRM Chennai. I then started my
Professional career with Infosys in Mysore, from IT Consultancy I moved to work with an IT Firm JS Itelonix
with ISS (Security System) and I recently worked for a company Outline Systems which provides Recruitment
services to 22nd century Technologies. All these different phases of my life have nurtured me and have helped
me to be the person I am today.

Being in the IT Sector for over 15 months and in the HR (Recruitment) industry for 15 months has given me
great experience of how the business works. One of the things which I lacked in these years was some
authority to make some decisions which I may have handled differently. I have always felt the more the better
if we have 10 people in a team we have 10 minds working. To make this happen and to channelize it in a
proper direction you have to have some leadership skills which I feel I do possess as I have captained my
School Cricket Team which took part in the North Zone 1 Cricket Tournament organised by the council of
sports DPS Society. Another example of my skill was being a Team leader handling 15*20 people in the
absence of my Manager while working in Outline Systems.

While I have the confidence that I will be good at most of the work given to me, I do feel a PGDM Degree
would be a big advantage. This transition will not only help me understand different side of the business but
will also widen my scope of work and put me in some decision making position, which will keep me motivated
and excited to work even harder every day. This combination will help in my growth as well as the corporate
sector of the country.

To be the person mentioned above, one major decision would be choosing a B-School and getting a PGDM
from NMIMS would be cherry on the cake. The illustrious name it has and the legacy it carries would be
precious for me in evolving and becoming a better person than I am today. With the quality education
providing platform and being an institute that wants the country to progress, especially in the management
field, NMIMS and I would be a perfect match. With campuses in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, it has an
added advantage of being in the metro cities.

Another facet of my personality is my love and passion for sports and writing. As mentioned above having
been the captain of my school cricket team has taught me a lot and I enjoy that challenge to the fullest. I have
also won Dronacharya Samman for writing organised by Avantika Foundation. Besides this, my love for
travelling and exploring different places, different culture is huge. Being a committee member of a national
level techno-management fest AARUSH has also helped me in grooming my team management skills.

I have always been of the belief that knowledge is never fully attained and you learn every day of your life,
growth and evolution are never ending and as an individual I have a strong urge to be the change I want to see
in the society.

With this aspiration to contribute in the management side by all the ways, I can I seek admission in NMIMS and
look forward to fulfilling and cherishing my dreams.
