Greetings and Salutations,

After hearing great things about the opportunity with the TN Department
of Economic and Community Development, I read with great excitement
your posting for Memphis Region Business Development Consultant. I
believe I possess the skills, experience and drive necessary for this position
and would make a valuable addition.
Being a Memphis native I have always looked for opportunities to aid and
grow my community. I know my city, its people and needs and I believe this
fact would be one of my greatest advantages in this position. As my
resume indicates, I possess more than 6 years of progressive experience in
rallying, motivating and directing people towards their goals. By getting
directly to the people I have been able to understand their needs and take
action on their behalf.
My professional history includes positions such as; Head of Marketing and
Promotions for Quetzal in Memphis TN as well as Supervisor at Megabuck’s
Bingo hall in Olive Branch MS. In both of these positions, and my current
position of Program Specialist with the state of TN, I have been responsible
for understanding our clients, their inter-workings and needs and enacting
efforts to enhance their interactions. Coupled with my education and the
OJT experience of being the contact person and face for the company in
all of my previous positions, I know I would be a great asset for the state
and the businesses I would assist.
I am that vehicle of change and hope for the future growth of our
community. From already established businesses to those just starting out, I
want to be that go to resource to help meet those growth goals by any
