SUBJECT: Your Physical Gifts Could Feed a Family & Keep a Child Warm

Who doesn’t like a pair of shoes that keep our feet warm, and the water out; hygiene products
that keep our hair looking clean; food to keep our bellies full at night; a backpack to bring to
class like our fellow peers, and supplies that we need for each school day. By providing the
YWCA with donations, you could help the children and families of the Fargo/Moorhead area get
ahead of their traumatic pasts, and leave them behind. Your actions for donations do not go
unnoticed. Cass Clay is overwhelmed and grateful by the community's generosity for the women
and children who need goods as they escape violence and homelessness.

In the Fargo/Moorhead area typically 65+ women and children are housed in emergency shelters,
along with 75 women and children being housed in supportive and human trafficking units.
These individuals need the items that we all use on a day to day basis. By giving these items you
help to put these women and children ahead of where they were before. Everyone needs help
from time to time and providing them with the items under our urgent needs list you are making
a difference.

The YWCA is only able to accept donations of items on our needs list, and these items may be
dropped off or shipped to YWCA emergency shelter. The items on our needs list include:
- Adult shampoo/conditioner/body wash
- Non-perishable food items
- Kids boots (all sizes)
- Adult boots (7.5-11)
- High school age backpacks
- School Supplies
- Strollers

By having these necessities women can gain the confidence they need with having their
children's needs met along with their own. The confidence that they can recover from damaging
effects of poverty and violence. By your donations these families can, without judgment, have
the tools they need to transform their lives and put them on the journey of independence.
