II. Reflection

Attending these three webinars has provided me with a new outlook on the evolving world of
accounting and marketing, as well as valuable insights into the journey towards becoming a
Management Accountant.

The first webinar entitled"UtACCay: The Great Accounting Showdown 2024 – Accounting
Crash Course", offered valuable insights into the crucial role of mastering accounting software, such
as XERO Accounting, in today's competitive environment. The seminar highlighted the necessity of
adapting to technological advancements and emphasized how software tools enhance efficiency and
accuracy, enabling us to focus on crucial tasks. With the speaker’s engaging discussion, I recognized
the importance of hands-on practice and continuous learning to integrate this knowledge effectively
into my personal and professional growth.

The second webinar, "The Big Idea: Discovering 2024's Marketing Trends and Dynamics",
highlighted the modern marketing landscape through discussions with three well-experienced
speakers. The first speaker presented the CANDY Method which emphasized the importance of
Creativity, Authenticity, Niche Targeting, Digital Innovation, and measurable Yield of Results in
marketing strategies. Next, the second speaker discussed automation in marketing, highlighting the
significance of understanding technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence, while also emphasizing
the need for thorough learning of its capabilities and limitations for effective implementation. Lastly,
the third speaker discussed the five pillars of marketing—Strategy, Planning & Publishing, Listening
and Engaging, Analytics, and Advertising. These insights enlightened me about the importance of
creativity, strategic planning, and technological integration in driving successful marketing
campaigns, offering valuable guidance in the field. Most importantly, as a future management
accountant, I can use these learnings as a tool to promote strategic decision-making and maximize
the financial performance of marketing initiatives within the organization.

The third webinar entitled: "Insights to Experience" was my favorite. The speaker here
provided a personal overview of the journey toward CMA certification. She talked about her
experiences from being a management accounting student into a Certified Management Accountant,
now working in Australia. This webinar emphasized the value of education, dedication, and
professional growth in the management accounting field, inspiring me to pursue the profession.

Overall, these webinars collectively highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous


learning, and strategic decision-making in both accounting and marketing domains. With these
insights, I am prepared to embrace change, hone my skills, and make meaningful contributions to the
organizations I serve as a future management accountant.
