Significance of the Study

The study may provide information regarding to the coping strategies used for challenges
encountered by the Third Year Nursing Students of Baliuag University. The outcome of the study
will be of great benefit to the following:
Students. The research findings will provide the students some information regarding
coping strategies they may use in facing challenges during their academic journey. They may use
the information in order to reflect if their coping strategies are appropriate and effective.
Parents. The result of the study may provide parents awareness about different coping
strategies that may possibly help their children in facing different challenges during their nursing
journey. Hence, this study may encourage parents to get involved in their children’s academic
commitment by helping them to be equipped with proper and suitable coping strategies. This
may also give them ideas if they to guide their child on handling their academic stress.
Teachers. The outcomes of this study may help teachers to have a better understanding
with their students. Teachers will have a better view on how the students are facing challenges
using their coping strategies. Hence, it may help them provide teaching strategies that may help
students with their difficulties.
School. The study may help the school to better understand their students’ difficulties and
their coping strategies in facing it. Therefore, school administrators could tailor interventions to
meet the students’ needs. With that, this may help to strengthen the relationship between the
school and its students.
Future researcher. This research may provide the future researcher the information they
needed to support their study. Future related studies may use this as a reference for studies with
variables about coping strategies and academic challenges. This study is also an opportunity to
dig deeper and analyze coping strategies used for challenges among the third year nursing
students.
