Title : Gulai Belacan

Ingredients : 800 g medium or large sized shrimp wash clean, 400 ml low-fat liquid milk, 300 ml
thick coconut milk, 1 tbsp tamarind dissolve in, 2 tbsp water, 4 orange leaves, 1 tsp Royco
Mushroom Broth, 1 tsp ground white pepper, 1 tbsp Bango Light Sweet Soy Sauce, 3 tbsp oil, for
frying Ground spices, 15 red onion grains, 10 red cayenne pepper, 6 candlenut grains, 5 garlic
cloves, 1 tbsp shrimp paste, 1 tsp salt.

Equipment: pan, knife, cutting, board, blender, mixing spoon.

steps : 1. Wash the prawns clean then coat with lime juice then let sit. 2.Saute the ground
spices then add the Belacan and cook until cooked. 3. Add the prawns which have been washed
clean again then cook until the prawn meat changes color. 4. Add coconut milk and petai then
season with salt, sugar, and pepper. 5. Cook until boiling and pour in the tamarind water then
adjust the taste. 6 . Turn off the heat and serve.

serving suggestions : Belacan curry is one of Riau's typical foods. Belacan is taken from the
name of the tribe there. The main ingredients consist of shrimp, shrimp paste and coconut milk.
Belacan curry has a creamy sauce taste and a slightly thick texture.
