Dear Councilor Tom P. Ilao,

We Swim League Philippines are working for an advocacy of a Drown Free Philippines -
Learn to Swim Program who gives swimming training program by learning the Basic Swimming
and Survival Skills that can improve physical and overall well-being of citizen in our community.

I’m writing this proposal letter as the SLP - Tiaong Administrator to ask for your help in
promoting and developing this sport (swimming) in our community and to draw the attention
with the importance of swimming. As we all know, swimming is not just a recreational activity,
but also a life-saving skill that everyone should possess. However, with the increasing number of
drowning incidents in our country, it is evident that the lack of access to swimming lessons is a
major contributing factor.

With this in mind, I believe that the people like you in our community has the power and
resources to make a significant impact in promoting water safety and preventing drowning
incidents. By providing swimming lessons to our citizens, we can equip them with the necessary
skills to survive in the water and potentially save lives.

Moreover, this program also wants to hone a world class swimmers as we also provide
swimming training programs from beginners to competitive level. The students may pursue the
swimming program to advance category and may continue competitive training. They will be
endorsed to Coach Epol Joy Macuha, Head Coach of Macuha Swimming Team - Tiaong.

With more people being able to swim and willing to be a world class swimming athlete,
Macuha Swimming Team is open for scholars and the national government unit can provide a
scholarship program to swimming athletes.

The event will take place every Thursday of March 2024 at DJ Resort Swimming Pool in
Liwayway Village, Brgy. Lalig, Tiaong Quezon from 8am-5pm, and we expect over 300
participants ages 10 years old and above from our community to learn how to swim and be
knowledgeable in water safety. The event will also includes giving of certification and
graduation ceremony after they complete the swimming program.

We are happy and honored to invite you to support and be the sponsor of the said program
from participant’s entrance fee, swimming gears (goggles and kick board), tarpaulin, attendance
card, medals, certificate and coaches allowance for 4days swimming lesson program for the
month of March.

We are willing to work closely with your team to develop a thorough and sustainable
swimming lesson program that will help our community.

Thank you for considering my proposal. I look forward to discuss this further with you and
making a positive change in our community.

Sincerely,
Lope C. Macuha
