Rationale
The fundamental reason for this proposal is to advocate the importance of learning to swim and
water safety. The Mabini Youth Center will give a great contribution to reducing the incidences of
drowning in Lipa City. This Swimming Lesson is not only for those who has privilege, it also provides
for children from low income families and children with disabilities to learn how to swim. The Mabini
Swim Instructor have provided many young men and women with skills to be certified as lifeguards and
swim instructors. The event will be held at Lipa City Community Park.
Objectives
At the end of the swim training, students will familiarize themselves with the water and accomplish
the following:
At the end of the Lifeguard and Swim Instructor training, young men and women will:
Flow of Program/Activities
1. Swim to Swimmer Seminar for 500 children from 15 primary schools including one
special-needs school
2. Swim Meet for 500 students from the Swim to Swimmer Seminar.
3. Swim Programme for Children with Special Needs every monday and friday
4. Swimming Lesson every wednesday and saturday
5. Training for 20 Lifeguards and 20 Swim Instructors.
Source of Income
The Mabini Youth Center will ask for financial help from the City Mayor of Lipa. They
will also do some event for a cause.

2 months avail of pool Total: Php640 (Php20 per 3hrs)
500 pcs. Goggles Total: Php 20,000 (php40 each)
100 pcs. Life Jackets Total: Php30,000 (Php300 each)
500 pcs. Swimming Caps Total: Php25,000 (Php50 each)
TOTAL: Php 75,640.00
