Sociolinguistic interaction is an approach that considers social roles in

formulating an interaction. This approach was abundant in the political, action,

thriller film titled Air Force One, specifically in the clip where the characters

saved the president.

In the clip, the difference in the movie characters' morals, standing, and

mentality are manifested through the way they interact with each other. The

intimacy of the president's family towards each other is observed through their

language despite the danger, while the rescue force and the president did not

drop the titles and formalities when conversing regardless of the dangerous

circumstance they were on. Contrarily, the antagonist spoke rather rashly and

violently which displayed his disrespect, as well as his selfishness and anger

towards the president. Through these interactions, they give more emphasis

to their roles' social standing and accuracy to the scene when involving with a

critical situation and a public official. The appropriateness of language shows

the understanding, status, and rationality of a person.
