NNHS 3RD INTER-BATCH BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2023


1 GROUND RULES

1. Tournament will start on April 06, 2024. There will be a parade on April 06, 2024 at 1:00 pm, to
be participated by all participating teams with their respective players, coaching staff, muses
and batchmates wearing their respective uniforms.
2. Games will be played on April 06, 2024 from 5:30pm onwards. The venue for this inter-batch
will be at Nabua National High School Civic Center, Nabua, Camarines Sur.
3. Each participating team can submit unlimited number of players with their line up, but only 15
players will only be allowed to play and needs to be submitted at the management table before
a game, as long as they are fully vaccinated, signed a waiver and showing proof that they are
Bonafide high school batch alumni of NNHS (GRADUATE OF NABUA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL).
4. Teams are required to show up with 15 players for the Opening Ceremony. Otherwise, teams
will be penalized with a first game forfeiture.
5. Tournament fee should be paid in full prior to the opening ceremony.
6. Mark Louie G Vasquez and Julios Samillano are the Tournament Commissioners. The officiating
official in this tournament is given to Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas (SBP-Rinconada). The
latest edition of FIBA rules and regulation shall govern this tournament.
7. Submission of line-up and other requirements should be given on or before March 15,2024 so
that the screening committee and other participating teams can check the players of the teams.
Participating teams will be given a line-up of all teams with in their division. Players may be
asked to submit proof of eligibility as alumnus of the school. (e.g. report card, yearbook,
certification from the school registrar, etc.)

1-A UNIFORMS

1. Team/players should stick to the assigned uniform and should be approved by the Tournament
Commissioner.
2. A player will not be allowed to play if he does not have the proper uniform.
3. Team should wear the officially assigned set of uniform as indicated in the schedule or lose the
game by forfeiture.
4. Teams will be suspended and warned on their first (1) game if they don’t comply with the required
uniform design.
5. Teams will not be allowed to play on their next game if they don’t still comply with the required
uniform design.
6. Borrowing of uniform to co-team members is not allowed.

1-B FORCE-MAJEURE

The moment that the force-majeure had occurred, the following procedures shall apply :

1. If the force-majeure occurred during the first half of the game, that game should be cancel and re-
scheduled at the end of the round. The game will start from the beginning. Only those present
team members on that cancelled game can play on the re-scheduled game.
2. If the force-majeure occurred after the first half of the game, the game shall be continued at the
end of the round. All scores, fouls, team fouls, time remaining, etc. Shall be valid. Again, only
those present team members on that cancelled game can play on the re-scheduled game.
3. If the electronic score board and/or the electronic time malfunction, hand held game watch or stop
watch and chalkboard shall be used.
4. If the technical committee decide to postponed a game/s of “Force-majeure” before it has begun,
the said game will be play at the latter part of the tournament.
5. Defaulting/forfeiting time is fifteen (15) minutes after a team’s schedule game. Team who uses the
default/forfeiting time will be assessed a Technical Foul for delaying the game before the jump
ball.

1-C TIME

1. In between games (warm-up time for next game) 10 minutes


2. Half time :5 minutes
3. Time-out: 1 minute-buzzer will sound at 40 secs. To call the players back to the game.

1-D SCHEDULE OF GAMES (Will be provided separately)

1-E TOURNAMENT PROPER DECORUM

1. Only the Head Coach or, in the absence of the head coach, the asst. Coach, or in the absence of both,
the Team Captain on the floor, is allowed to communicate with the game officials including the table
officials regarding technicalities but not “judgement call”. however, it should be in Courteous Manner.
Head Coach have “One Challenge” in the fourth (4) quarter under last two (2) minutes only, the head
coach needs to voice out the word “Challenge” including the rectangle sign to accept the challenge.

1-F TOURNAMENT OFFICIAL BALL

1. OFFICIAL BALL: Molten GG7X- only official ball will be used on the game. The tournament
committee is not responsible to provide the team basketball for their warm up.

1- G TECHNICAL FOULS AND SANCTIONS

1. Player/s or Coaches caught giving an obscene sign such as dirty finger or heard saying bad or profane
word to any official/s, technical committee/s, or to an opponent; that player/s or coach will be given a
sanction of:
a.) Out of the playing court with 100-meter radius
b.) One game suspension

2. If a player/s or coach/es incur a technical foul whereas clearly, he has an intention to harm others
during the game, he will be thrown out the game and will be having sanction/s that organizers decided
a.) Suspension for the entire season of game
b.) or Banning in the Inter-Batch Basketball tournament of Nabua National High School

1- H DISQUALIFICATION OF PLAYERS AND COACHES

1. A player or coach shall be disqualified/sent out of the game if:


a.) He commits two (2) technical fouls in a game;
b.) He commits two (2) unsportsmanlike fouls in a game;
c.) He commits both or combination of two types of fouls mentioned beforehand.
2. Tournament Committee is authorized to disqualify any player/coach that may cause detrimental
values to the league.
3. A player/coach disqualified or send out of the game shall be automatically be suspended on his next
game. Depending on the severity or impact of their negative action, he may be subjected for
disqualification or further participation in the league for the upcoming seasons.
4. A player/coach would be suspended on his next game for every technical foul/unsportsmanlike foul
for the season.

1-I THE FOLLOWING ARE PROHIBITED FROM THE BASKETBALL COURT PREMISES:

1. Alcohol Beverages
2. Prohibited Drugs
3. Guns or Deadly weapon/s

Team members found positive of any of the three items above will not be tolerated and will be forced to
go out from the premises and will be banned from the entire tournament. The committee has the final
decision on this matter.

1-J FORFEITURES

1. If the team that “Walks-Out “of the game, the remaining time-out/s will first be consumed for the
team to come back and resume the game. After time-out/s are consumed, the team will be called for a
technical foul. The ball will be inbounded by the opponent at the midcourt, if during the time of inbound
the team has yet to come back to the court, the team will lose the game by forfeiture.
2. A team who has two losses by default shall be disqualified for the rest of the season and shall be
banned for the following season.

3. Sanction for a default or a walk-out team of a game is banning for the next season.
4. In case of fights, every player involved will be automatically banned from the league. A fight means:
someone who has thrown a punch or kick an opponent or other physical contact that is not related to
basketball. The officials and the technical committee still have the final decision.
5. A player/Team official who shows disrespect or unsportsmanlike conduct towards the game officials
and organizers may face sanctions as recommended by the Commissioners

1-K ATTIRE
1. Coach and/or team officials must be in proper attire (slippers, shorts or sleeveless shirt will not be
allowed). Anyone who violates this rule will not be allowed to set on the team’s bench and guide their
team on that game.
2. Injured players must also be in proper uniform if he wants to sit on the bench (slippers, shorts or
sleeveless shirt is not allowed.
3. Only the players/coaching staff in the official entry can occupy the bench.

1-L PROTEST/S
1. The team captain of the protesting team must sign the score sheet “Under Protest” after his team
game and inform the organizer that he is protesting the result of the game.
2. The team must forward a formal written protest to the Tournament Committee on the protest within
24 hours after the game has been played.
3. Protest on player’s eligibility shall be entertained up to the last game of elimination round.
4. Decision of the Tournament Committee shall and will be final.

1- N TIE-BREAKER
1. Classification points will always be first basis for team ranking in case win-loss records are the same.
2. If teams also have the same win-loss record, classification points, rankings will be determined by
quotient system.
