Mount Shand is a 12,660 ft ( 3,860 K ) elevation glaciated summit located at the head of the
Trident Glacier in the eastern Last Frontier Range , in Alaska , United Department of State .It
is the third-highest peak in the Hayes image , a subset of the Last Frontier Range .This

officially adopted in 1962 by the America instrument panel on Geographic name calling .==
Climate == Based on the Kö ppen climate classification , Mount Shand is located in a
subarctic climate zone with long , stale , snowy wintertime , and balmy summertime .This
clime supports the Trident and inkiness Rapids Glaciers surrounding this
peak .Temperatures can shake off below −20 °C with wind chill constituent below −30
°C .The months May through June offer the most favorable weather for climbing or
viewing .Precipitation overflow from the mountain drains into feeder of the Tanana River
drain basin .
