Pre-lesson: Pupils are introduced to a few words. (emperor, palace, nightingale, mechanical nightingale, diamond, ill)

Lesson delivery:

1. Pupils are asked if they have heard of the story ‘The Emperor’s Nightingale’. Pupils share their thoughts.
ACTIVITIES
2. Pupils read the story in textbook page 24 guided by CD 1 Track 34.
3. Pupils are asked a few comprehension questions based on the story.
4. Pupils rearrange the sentences in Activity 4 textbook in the correct sequence using a flow map.

Post lesson: Pupils display their flow map to their group members.
