By end of the lesson pupils will be able to:

i) Perform appropriately using the poem.

ii) Enjoy the poem by planning their gestures.

Pre-lesson: Pupils follow teacher’s special claps.

Lesson delivery:

1. Each pupil is given a piece of A4 paper and asked to trace their hands.
2. Pupils think of all the things that they can do with their hands/ fingers and write them inside the outline of the
ACTIVITIES hand.
3. Teacher reads the poem with gestures. Pupils follow the teacher.
4. Each group is given an assessment memo. Pupils are explained on how they can assess their friends.
5. Pupils practise their performance and perform in front of the class.
6. Pupils from other groups assess their friends’ performances.

Post-lesson: Pupils get their assessment memo.
